Wendy Singer is the Executive Director of No Shame On U, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a nonprofit professional dedicated to education, youth development, and community engagement. She began her work with No Shame On U as Director of Programming before stepping into the Executive Director role in 2024. Prior to this, Wendy served as Director of Education at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and spent 18 years with JCC Chicago, where she focused on summer camps, mentorship, and meaningful teachable moments for young people. A passionate educator and connector, Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management from Spertus College. She joins us today to share her personal mental health journey, the mission behind No Shame On U, and how the organization is working to reshape attitudes, elevate conversations, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Married and the mother of three young adult children, Jennifer balances part-time work as a mental health therapist while helping manage her husband’s business. She also shares her home with her 81-year-old mother, stepping into the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving. Passionate about honest conversations around boundaries, caregiving, and finding balance in a full season of life, Jennifer volunteers with a foundation that supports metastatic breast cancer patients with financial needs.
