  • Living Fearlessly in Service -Serving Fearlessly in Love (Acts 9:17)
    May 3 2025

This week we've studied Living Fearlessly in Service from Acts 9.

Throughout this series, we have walked alongside Ananias in his journey of fearless service. We have seen how fearless living is not reserved for the extraordinary, but is birthed in the ordinary faithfulness of those who listen, trust, obey, and love. True fearlessness is not the absence of trembling; it is the presence of faith that moves forward anyway. As we conclude this week of reflection, we are reminded that fearless service is ultimately an expression of fearless love — love for God, and love for those He calls us to serve.

    Scripture Reading:

"And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost." (Acts 9:17, KJV)

  • Living Fearlessly in Service - Serving with Humility and Love (Acts 9:17-18)
    May 2 2025

This week we're studying Living Fearlessly in Service and considering the example of Ananias from Acts 9.

Fear seeks to paralyze, divide, and isolate us. But God calls us to live and serve differently — with power, love, and a sound mind. Fearless service is not brash or self-serving; it is marked by humility and love. Ananias displayed these qualities when he approached Saul, not with condemnation or suspicion, but with tender acceptance and obedience. In a moment that could have been dominated by fear, Ananias chose the higher way of humble love, showing us the true posture of fearless servants.

    Scripture Reading: "

And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized." (Acts 9:17–18, KJV)

  • Living Fearlessly in Service - The Impact of Our Obedience (Acts 9 17-18)
    May 1 2025

This week we're studying Living Fearlessly in Service and looking at the life of Ananias from Acts 9.

Often when we think of great impacts for God's kingdom, we imagine grand acts performed by well-known figures. Yet Scripture reveals that many extraordinary moves of God began with the quiet, unseen obedience of faithful individuals. Ananias is one of these individuals. His willingness to listen, trust, and act became part of a chain reaction that transformed the world through Saul, later known as Paul. Living fearlessly means recognizing that our simple obedience — even when it seems small — has the potential to impact lives far beyond what we can imagine.

  • Living Fearlessly in Service - Acting in Obedience (Acts 9:17)
    Apr 30 2025

This week we're studying Living Fearlessly in Service considering the example of Ananias from Acts 9.

Hearing God's voice is essential. Trusting His plan is vital. But fearless living is ultimately demonstrated through action. It is one thing to listen and to trust internally; it is another to put faith into visible steps. Obedience transforms what we believe in our hearts into the service we live out with our hands and feet. Ananias teaches us that fearless service is not passive — it moves forward even when the outcome is unknown.

    Scripture Reading: "

And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost." (Acts 9:17, KJV)

  • Living Fearlessly in Service - Trusting God's Greater Plan (Acts 9:13-16)
    Apr 30 2025

This week we're studying Living Fearless in Service and considering the life of Ananias from Acts 9.

Fear often speaks loudly when God calls us into unknown territory. It reminds us of our limits, our dangers, and our past experiences. Yet fearless living is not the absence of fear; it is the choice to trust that God's plan is greater than what we can see or understand. Ananias’ honest fear did not disqualify him from service. Instead, he learned that trusting God’s greater purpose would empower him to step forward even when his understanding fell short.

    Scripture Reading:

"Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake." • Living Fearlessly in Service - Listening to God (Acts 9:10-12)
    Apr 28 2025

This week we're studying Living Fearlessly in Service and studying the example of Ananias from Acts 9.

Living fearlessly in service to God always begins with listening. Before we can move our feet or speak a word, our hearts must first bow low to hear His voice. Listening is not a passive act; it is an act of surrender, of tuning our spirit to God’s leading. Ananias shows us that fearless living is not birthed from bold personality or natural courage, but from an open and willing heart that responds to the voice of the Lord. When we listen — truly listen — we prepare ourselves to live beyond fear, rooted in the certainty of God's presence and direction.

    Scripture Reading: "

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight." In the midst of a busy world, it is easy to let the hours slip away before we truly pause to commune with our heavenly Father. Yet, we find in the life of Jesus Christ—our Lord, Savior, and perfect example—a powerful truth: beginning the day in prayer anchors us in God’s presence, aligns us with His will, and equips us for the day ahead.

    Scripture Reading:

Mark 1:35 (KJV)“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
