  • Cutting Out Gluten and Dairy Helps Endometriosis Pain

    A new study published in the Journal of American Medical Association is the largest international survey ever conducted on diet and endometriosis.


    The study, involving 2,599 people, found 45% of those who stopped eating gluten and 45% of those who cut out dairy reported experiencing an improvement in their pain.

    Today on the podcast, we’ve got a major story for the celiac disease community—one that could set a new legal precedent for accessibility and equal rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).


    Here’s what’s happening: The National Celiac Association (NCA), a leading advocacy group for people with celiac disease, just filed an amicus brief (that’s a “friend of the court” document) with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. They’re supporting Eleanor McGinn, a resident of Broadmead, Inc., a senior living community, in her case against the facility. The disAbility Law Center of Virginia is also backing her up.
