    Chief Stagnaro began his career and rose through the ranks to ultimately become the deputy chief of operations. He was responsible for more than 1900 members, in 44 firehouses, plus a whole more. Chief also served on subcommittees for NIOSH and OSHA, and spoke at FDIC on various health & safety topics. From 2010 - 2017 he was a director of fire service programs for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

He joined the USMC reserves right after HS graduation and then attended 1 year college Western Connecticut University. He was Deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm 1990 and thankfully returned to the U.S. in July 1991.

    • Assigned to Ladder 30 (12 years)
    • Promoted to Lt. in February 2003 and assigned to Ladder 4
    • Promoted to Captain November 2008
    • Bounced for 2 years then assigned to Ladder 23 - 2010-2024
    • Retired 2024
    • He has received 4 unit citations, 2 medals and performed a Life saving roof rope rescue. Hasn't seen any fire ;)

    He joined the FDNY in 1985 and assigned to Engine 277/Ladder 112 - 1989 took detail to Hazamt 1 - 1990 transferred to Enhanced Engine 41 - 1994 Promoted to Lieutenant Assigned Division 7 - 1997 Assigned Engine 62 - Retired in 2006 Since retiring he has been Westchester county Fire instructor/ Probe school and from 2017 - 2023 Port Authority ARFF Assigned to Laguardia Airport.

    Bill is a retired assistant fire marshal with Prince William County, Virginia, Department of Fire and Rescue. During his thirty-year career, he served as a firefighter, fighter paramedic, company officer, and station commander. The last fourteen years of his career, he was a lieutenant/assistant fire marshal assigned to the arson crimes unit with the county’s fire marshal’s office. Lieutenant Niemann was the first of one hundred and fifty paramedics in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He also served seventeen years with the United States Coast Guard auxiliary.

    Be sure and join us with our special guest, Oklahoma City FD 35 year veteran, Deputy Chief Michael Walker. Chief Walker spent a long time with OCFD and has some great stories to share. Including when he was assigned to Engine 5 in 1995 responding to the historic event in the Murrah Building. The Oklahoma City bombing to be more precise. He served in both Hazmat (Station 5) and Technical Rescue (Station 8) for several years. Early in his career he worked in training and was promoted to BC in 2007. In 2013, Chief had the honor of being the keynote speaker for FDIC, speaking on, "The Fireman's Standard". He retired in May 2025.

    -Sworn in as a Probationary Firefighter on September 14, 2003
    -Assigned to Engine 289 in Corona, Queens in December 2003
    -Transferred across the floor to Tower Ladder 138 in 2007 🐯🐱
    -Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant September 2013 and assigned to the 15th Division in Brooklyn.
    -Assigned to Tower Ladder 120 in Brownsville, Brooklyn in February 2017.
    -Retired in 2024.
    He served on the Executive Board of the FDNY Columbia Association since 2005. He initially held the position of Queens Trustee and eventually served as the President of the Association up until his retirement in March of 2024. We will get the whole skinny.
