When police entered the home of Billie Payne and Billy Jean Hayworth, they found a scene of horror: both parents had been shot, but their infant son was found alive and unharmed in his mother's arms. • Justice for Megan: The Fight for a Second Look
    Jan 30 2026

We investigate the ongoing developments in the death of Megan Trussell. Three years after she was found dead in Grand County, the CBI has taken the lead in a comprehensive statutory case review. This episode examines the evidence that prompted the CBI Director to approve this independent look and the specific mandates of the Colorado Cold Case Review team. We highlight the power of family persistence in the face of tragedy and the vital importance of having a 'second set of eyes' on cases that have gone cold or remain shrouded in doubt.
