Michaela shares her passion for learning, curiosity and travel, and how this shaped her mindset of being ‘fearless’ in life. She opens up about the challenges women face and how this inspired her to bring TEDx to Teesside in order to bring inspirational and educational opportunities to her local community. She refuses to let fear or health issues hold her back from pursuing new opportunities and wants others to do the same.

    • Michaela's company Opportunity Global focuses on developing "human skills" like communication and empathy

    • Love of learning and travel, from working in 10 different countries across 4 continents

    • Challenging sexism when working in India, and making a positive impact

    • Organizing TEDx events in Teesside to bring inspiring ideas and speakers to her hometown, which is often overlooked

    • Michaela has not let fear hold her back, and believes in putting herself in new and uncomfortable situations as opportunities for growth and learning

    • Faced with a heart condition, she is very intentional about how she lives her life and the impact she wants to have
