  • Geoffrey Drumm: The Land of Chem
    Aug 16 2025
    My name is Geoffrey Drumm

I must admit that I have a bit of an Indiana Jones complex, and watching the Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was a kid first ignited my interest in Egypt . In 2012, I began researching the Egyptian pyramids and some of the alternative theories about their true purpose as a serious side hobby. One of my life’s greatest aspirations was to one day see these structures in person, and in 2017 I finally got the chance when my friend Bethany agreed to join me on my first week-long trip to Egypt. I had a very specific, research oriented itinerary planned, but our guide Yousef had some unexpected surprised in store for us, including a journey inside the Red Pyramid of Dahshur. Upon entering the pyramid, we became overwhelmed by the intense smell of ammonia and were able to see the chemical staining on the walls of the inner chambers. The theories and story contained within this book are inspired by my experience inside the Red Pyramid and my time visiting Egypt, which led me to begin investigating the country’s ancient structures with a focus on chemistry.
Thank you so much for your interest in The Land of Chem, and I hope you enjoy reading the story as much as I have enjoyed writing it!

  • Special Edition: Dr. Avi Loeb, Alien Probe, 3i/Atlas
    Aug 8 2025
A Harvard astronomer is suggesting that an interstellar object nearing Earth could be an engineered object — rather than a natural one — after making similar claims in in 2023 and 2017.Avi Loeb, the chair of Harvard's astronomy department, told CNN on Thursday that the 31/ATLAS interstellar object detected by the Deep Random Survey remote telescope in Chile could have an alien origin."The brightness of the object implies a diameter of 20 km, and there is not enough rocky material in interstellar space to deliver such a giant object per decade," Loeb said.He noted that it takes "10,000 years for that much mass to arrive to the inner part of the solar system."Loeb also said that the object will be closest to the Earth when our planet is on the opposite side of the sun, meaning we won't be able to actually see it."We won't be able to observe it, but that's the perfect time for it to maneuver, and so we just need to watch it," he said.He went on to say he thinks there's a chance that the object could be engineered rather than naturally occurring."I'm not saying it's an alien technology," Loeb said. "I'm just saying it doesn't look like a very common thing, and actually, the glow that is around this object, usually for comets, you see a trailing tail behind the object and here the glow from the Hubble Space Telescope image is actually in front of the object."The astronomer said that "we've never seen such a thing" and noted that a comet wouldn't "have glow in front of it."He argued that it’s prudent for humanity to examine any interstellar objects entering our solar system, just to be sure they’re harmless.“[31/ATLAS] may come to save us or destroy us,” he said. “We'd better be ready for both options and check whether all interstellar objects are rocks.”31/ATLAS made news in July after scientists confirmed it originated outside of our solar system, making it one of only three known interstellar objects discovered in our little slice of space. The object is massive, with scientists estimating it is more than 12 miles wide.Loeb theorizing a more enigmatic origin of the object isn't exactly off-brand for him. In 2023 he made headlines after he and a team recovered a meteor that fell into the Pacific Ocean. He claimed at the time that an analysis found previously unseen metal alloys in the rock, suggesting at very least an origin outside of our solar system, but other astrophysicists were skeptical of those claims.Back in 2017, Oumuamua, a long, rod-like object, became the first known interstellar object detected in our solar system.Loeb released a paper in 2021 exploring the idea that the strange object — which about the length of a football field but only as thick as a common cigar — was possibly using a "light sail" that captures the sun's energy as a means of propulsion. He was essentially suggesting that Oumuamua could have been crafted by aliens or some other intelligence.n 2023, researchers published a study that found the object's strange orbit and apparent propulsion was actually achieved through a mechanism found in many icy comets. Essentially, hydrogen was being released from the object as it was warmed by the sun's heat.“For a comet several kilometers across, the outgassing would be from a really thin shell relative to the bulk of the object, so both compositionally and in terms of any acceleration, you wouldn’t necessarily expect that to be a detectable effect,” UC Berkeley assistant professor of chemistry Jennifer Bergner said at the time. “But because Oumuamua was so small, we think that it actually produced sufficient force to power this acceleration.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/earth-ancients--2790919/support.

  • Destiny: Norma and Nisha Burton, Navigating Liminal Realms
    Aug 6 2025
Safely explore inner worlds through altered states of consciousness

    • Investigates drumming-induced trance states through shamanic journeying

    • Provides advanced lucid dreaming training, sharing techniques for inducing lucidity and skillfully navigating our inner cosmos

    • Explores the mindful use of psychedelics, offering guidance on setting intention, navigating the experience, and integrating insights

OFFERING TECHNIQUES from psychonauts ancient and modern, this profound guide helps you navigate consciously into the depths of the human psyche. Psychonavigation is the art of mindfully exploring the liminal realms of consciousness. This requires a map, a guide, and a clear intent, so one does not emerge overwhelmed and struggling with unexpected shadow material.

Norma and Nisha Burton map the important connection between three gateways into the psyche’s depths: lucid dreaming, shamanic drumming trance journeys, and ceremonial plant medicine journeys. With drumming-induced trance journeys, they explore the scientific effect on brainwave frequencies alongside consciousness teachings from indigenous cultures like the Sami of Norway and Huichol of Mexico. Their masterful approach to lucid dreaming transcends basic instruction, offering sophisticated techniques to not only summon but sustain lucidity and integrate suppressed parts of oneself. They explain how a mindful engagement with entheogens can be profoundly enhanced through these precursory mystical practices, creating a safe container for integration and meaning-making that honors the gravity of such experiences.

With these skillful methodologies, ancient psycho-spiritual techniques meet ultra-current science to enable seekers to process and integrate profound encounters with expanded consciousness.

Norma J. Burton is a counselor and theologian with academic degrees in Buddhist psychology and shamanic traditions. She specializes in trauma healing, shadow work, and Jungian dream analysis. Having apprenticed with indigenous elders for more than 30 years, she founded the Journey to Completion methodology and the Circle of Trust Healing Center.

  • Trevor Grassi: The Labyrinth of Hawara
    Aug 2 2025
The lost labyrinth of Egypt, or the Hawara labyrinth is a buried complex in Egypt. Built beneath the pyramid of Hawara, it is said to have contained mortuary temples, galleries, courtyards, and libraries that hold unseen information about Ancient Egyptian society, as well as other ancient civilizations, including some prior to commonly recorded history. It was described as a labyrinth by the Ancient Greek historian Herodotus, who was one of several Greek historians who saw the inside of the complex. While a labyrinth typically refers to a complicated maze, Herodotus saw the complexity of the structure and saw similarities. It is an apt comparison because the passages in the labyrinth seem to have been constructed to be confusing as a way to deter unwanted visitors and keep the temples safe. It supposedly has over 3,000 rooms, all laden with lost culture.

Trevor Grassi is an independent researcher, world traveler, writer and filmmaker who has been studying and searching for the Hall of Records at Giza for nearly two decades. In the past few years he has worked closely with civil engineer and 'Gizatologist', William Brown, at Giza to reveal evidence of underground structures very close to the Sphinx and throughout the plateau. They have shared never-before-seen ground penetrating radar scans, photos, videos, and personal accounts of the subterranean network of tunnels and chambers that are likely connected to the record chambers described by Edgar Cayce. They are planning an excavation project at the most promising locations in the near future, and have released a three part documentary series entitled The Secret Underworld of Giza.

  • Patrick Chouinard: Giants of Atlantis
    Jul 26 2025
Deep beneath the waves of myth and time lies Atlantis, a lost empire of unparalleled splendor, whispered to have birthed a race of giants whose legacy endures in ancient stone and scattered lore. In *Giants of Atlantis: The Legacy of the Fallen Race*, we embark on a speculative journey into the heart of one of humanity’s greatest enigmas. Were the Atlanteans towering beings of superhuman stature, as some ancient texts suggest, or are their monumental traces merely echoes of a forgotten culture? This book explores the tantalizing possibility that a race of giants once walked the earth, shaping civilizations and leaving cryptic markers in stone circles and megalithic temples. Drawing from the accounts of Plato, who described Atlantis as a naval power sunk by divine wrath, we begin with the philosophical cornerstone of the Atlantean myth. Plato’s dialogues, *Timaeus* and *Critias*, paint a picture of a sophisticated society lost to catastrophe. Yet, he hints at inhabitants of extraordinary might, capable of feats that defy modern understanding. Could these be the giants of legend? The book delves into parallel accounts from Saxo Grammaticus, whose *Gesta Danorum* chronicles Norse tales of towering figures wielding godlike power, and Adam of Bremen, whose descriptions of Baltic temples suggest sacred sites built for beings of immense scale.

Patrick Chouinard is an American author, alternative archaeologist, and investigative mythologist who challenges conventional narratives about humanity's remote past. A prolific writer with ten published books exploring ancient civilizations and forgotten histories, Chouinard serves as Editor-in-Chief of The New Archaeology Review, a platform for cutting-edge archaeological research. As former host and producer of Archaeology TV, he brought alternative archaeological perspectives to mainstream audiences. Beyond academia, Chouinard is a dedicated political activist who advocates for transparency in historical research and the democratization of archaeological knowledge.
