  • 2025 CARS Tour Late Model Champion Landen Lewis & Dalton Ledbetter

    Episode 159 is on the scene with 2025 CARS Tour Late Model Champion Landen Lewis. Lewis takes us back to the turning point of his season, the pressures of racing for a title, having his mentor Ron Hornaday on site for his biggest day in racing, bringing a title back to Kevin Harvick Incorporated and being a big brother/mentor to Kevin's son Keelan.

    When there is a champion there is a runner up. Connor Hall concludes his stint with JR Motorsports with a top five finish in the finale at North Wilkesboro. Hall shares how grateful he is towards Dale Jr and Kelley as he prepares for the next chapter of his racing career.

    Caden Kvapil and Landon Shane Huffman entertained the Wilkes County crowd with an exciting finish that saw Kvapil join his brother Carson as CARS Tour winners at North Wilkesboro. We spoke to both after their race on Saturday along with Parker Eatmon and Brandon Lopez who got their best career finishes on tour by finishing third and fifth respectively along with Carson Loftin who claimed the Rookie of the year title.

    Ben Maier's Pro Late Model Championship came without a win this season. Maier reflected on the accomplishment with Jody after the race. We also spoke with Kevin Harvick and Rick Ware who won the owner's championship in the Late Model and Pro Late Model divisions respectively

    Luke Baldwin is a back to back SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic champion and put a stamp on the season by riding the elevator to victory lane following his win. We spoke with him about this and reviewed the finale on Saturday with comments from the top four finishers and the drivers who fell short of the championship.

    Dalton Ledbetter won the 2025 Limited Track Championship at ACE Speedway in one of the most competitive divisions in all of the region. Lebetter tells us the difference in transition from running Chargers to the bigger Limited cars and his season overall which saw him win five events despite missing the first race on the schedule this season.

    We also discuss the weekend from Talladega, preview the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race from Martinsville along with the penultimate races of the season for the Craftsman Truck, Xfinity and Cup Series while reviewing the wild weekend from Talladega.

    Episode 158 is on the scene and we are feeling some championship fever this week. STAR Super Stock Tour Champion Cody DeMarmels is our guest fresh off winning four races at Hickory Motor Speedway this past weekend. He tells us the story behind each one and how many more Limited races he plans on doing as well as where his trophies go after he wins them.

    Dustin Rumley clinched his eighth Late Model Stock title at Ace Speedway in North Carolina this past weekend with a win in the season finale. He joins the show this week to reflect on his eight championships, how much late model racing has changed since his first title and comments on the competition at the track and what HC Sellers means to him.


    Tyler Bush clinched his second straight Mini Stock title this past Saturday at Ace Speedway. He discusses his season overall, which title was harder, attempting to win another track championship this weekend at Caraway and the impact Ronnie Byrd left on his career and personal life.

    Denny Hamlin claimed his 60th career Cup Series win in Las Vegas on Sunday. We discuss the most emotional win of his career and how this gears him for a potential historic day at Phoenix in two weeks. We discuss where the blame lies in the William Byron and Ty Dillon incident, the spirited battle between Aric Almirola and Connor Zilisch on Saturday and some of the other big stories coming out of Vegas.

    We breakdown the SMART Modified Tour race from Tri County and set the title for the championship finale at North Wilkesboro.

    Speaking of setting the table, the CARS Tour wraps up their season at North Wilkesboro on Saturday and we break down all the scenarios of what Landen Lewis and Connor Hall need to do to win their first tour championship.   • Landon Shane Huffman & Kickin' Up The Dirt with Bo Miller Part 2

    Episode 157 is on the scene and we welcome Landon Shane Huffman to the podcast. Landon Shane is the son of former Hooters Cup Champion Shane Huffman and is coming off his career best CARS Tour Finish of second on Saturday night at Tri County Speedway. We asked him about that, how he picked up his ride for the weekend, the struggles he has overcome with RPG to a lifetime in the sport and how he deals with folks who get him confused with the other Landon Huffman who is heavily involved in the sport.

    We discuss Saturday's race in detail which saw Jared Fryar and Landon Shane Huffman duel it out for the win. Hear from Jared at approximately the 53:46 mark of this show. The guys debate on the correct word to best describe the action on Saturday while discussing the Landon Huffman/Chad McCumbee incident while battling for the lead, the controversial restart in the Pro Late Model race that saw Brandon Lopez get sent to the back, TJ DeCaire's breakthrough Pro Late Model win, and further comments from the key finishers from Saturday's penultimate race of the season.

    Speaking of the penultimate race, the SMART Modified Tour will run their next to last race of the season Saturday at Tri County Speedway as well. We preview the event and put a little trivia out there for Jody to solve while picking winners to ultimately advance to the SMART 3 at North Wilkesboro.

    Austin Beers won this past weekend at Riverhead thus making a statement in his quest for the championship in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. We discuss that race and who has the edge this weekend at Thompson.

    The Roval at Charlotte produced another win for SVG. We discuss the weekend at Roval which saw all of the overwhelming favorites win this weekend, discuss Ross Chastain's wild last lap at the Roval, why no one wants to see Joey Logano in the round of eight and we gas it up or pump the brakes on who we think can win and advance to Phoenix.

  • Valley Star 300 Winner Landon Pembelton & Kickin' Up The Dirt with Bo Miller Part 1

    Episode 156 is on the scene and we are joined by NASCAR Regional's Brandon White for the entire podcast this week. The 30th running of the Valley Star 300 from Martinsville Speedway is in the books and it had a little bit of everything for everybody. The event featured two rain delays, Trevor Ward being forced to serve a stop and go while leading the race with arguably the fastest car after jumping a start, a crash before the drivers crossed the line to start the race to set the tone for the rest of the race to Tristan McKee being sent to the rear for rough driving with the finish of the race ultimately being nearly the closest in division history at the track.

    When it was all said and done it was Landon Pembelton nipping Lee Pulliam at the line to grab his second event win. Landon is our guest this week and tells us how he feels about winning his second Grandfather Clock, how he feels about Lee Pulliam as individual, the process from moving to R&S Race Cars from long time owner HC Sellers, where this clock may be going, reflection on this win putting him in rare category, whether this win is sweeter than the first & what he hopes to accomplish next in the sport.

    We also break down the event and discuss Lee Pulliam's impact on the sport, tough conversations with Tristan McKee and how he can benefit from that while being so young, break out performances from Martinsville, Mike Looney possibly riding into the sunset, the shocking Peyton Sellers DNQ from the main feature and some of the feel good stories coming from the heat races and the race itself.

    Oak Level Speedway in Virginia sat dormant for over a decade and on the verge of becoming a Lost Speedway. Well it is lost no more as Bo Miller recently purchased the facility and racing will return in 2026 with Langley Austin being the promoter. In part one of our interview with Bo, he reveals how this came together, how it almost didn't happen and the wild story of how it ended up happening after the county voted against it.

    We preview the upcoming CARS Tour race from Tri County and discuss the amazing Cup Series finish from Kansas and reveal who has the best chance to advance to the next round of the playoffs with the cutoff race being at the Charlotte Roval this weekend.   • Valley Star 300 Preview with Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell and Daniel Silvestri

    Episode 155 is on the scene and we welcome the President of Martinsville Speedway Clay Campbell to the show. We asked Campbell about some new things that are happening at Martinsville Speedway, the prestige of the Virginia Triple Crown, the upcoming NASCAR playoff weekend, what he thought of driving a Mazda MX5 Series machine, why the modifieds didn't run at Martinsville for a few years and more as we reflect on the 30th anniversary of the Valley Star 300.

    Speaking of which we give our picks for the upcoming race and analysis of the upcoming Valley Star 300.

    In what is becoming a yearly tradition leading towards the Valley Star 300, 2021 pole winner Daniel SIlvestri returns to the show to update us on his season which has saw him race more than he has in a few years whether it was on the CARS Tour, the VA Triple Crown or winning Legends races at Franklin County and Shenandoah this year. He is driving for Tom Usry Racing which recently won on the CARS Tour and he reveals how much that helps him with this program and what Victory Lane celebration he may or may not have that involves his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.

    We review the SMART Modified Tour event from Franklin County Raceway which saw Danny Bohn pick up his second win of the season. We discuss the race itself and set the scene for the next playoff race. You will also hear from the winner Bohn, runner up Luke Baldwin and third place Jake Crum.

    Franklin County also had a spirited Mini Stock race that folks will view as perhaps one of the best races of the weekend. Daniel Hutson and AJ Sanders battled for the lead much of the race but a late race incident put Sanders in the penalty box and Hutson out of contention. Plus hear from Thomas Parmelee who won for the first time in 15 years on Saturday!

    We also discuss championship night from Kingsport Speedway which Julian was on the scene for as well as the South Atlantic Pro Series event. We spoke with Late Model Track Champion Brad Housewright and Tennessee State Champion Zeke Shell as they reflected on their seasons.

His grandfather, Orvil, raced in the Busch Series (Xfinity) & won many races while father, Tink, raced to championships at Franklin County and Motor Mile Speedway so you think he would have pressure to follow in their footsteps. Bryan discusses that legacy, why it's been nine years since he last tried running at Martinsville like he will attempt to do so at the end of the month, how long a team like his gets ready for such a big event at Martinsville, what he's been doing lately and what his most treasured moment in racing has been so far.


    The CARS Tour race from South Boston created a lot of chatter. From Landen Lewis getting bumped out of the way to changing a tire without a one lap penalty to Connor Hall pulling a Dale Earnhardt from Daytona in 97' by getting back into a heavily damaged car to earn points to the Mini Tyrrell and Tristan McKee incident, a lot went down on Saturday and we haven't brought up Kaden Honeycutt ending a multi year winless drought in tour LMSC competition and Parker Eatmon nearly landing on pit lane. The debates are running wild both online and on the podcast. Julian also has a word with the top five finishers from Saturday's at times controversial stop on the CARS Tour.

    The SMART Modified Tour has set their five driver playoff field after Ryan Newman's Dominion Raceway win over the weekend. We discuss who may have the edge in the championship fight and who has the edge in this weekend's return trip to Franklin County Raceway.

    If there wasn't enough tire controversy in the CARS Tour race, the Cup race in Bristol had 500 times more controversy. Did the tires giving out produce a better race because of it or is it still masking a deeper problem? The boys debate if Christopher Bell who hadn't won since March is about to go on a big run headed to arguably his best track in New Hampshire.

    BJ Reaves clinched his second straight Southside Disposal Pure Stock championship by starting the race on Sunday.     Tyler Garretson in his ninth start, picked up his first Budweiser Limited Sportsman at South Boston on Sunday. The Arkansas native joins us to discuss his career up to this point, growing up in the midwest and how a random phone call to HC Sellers changed his racing trajectory.

    We discuss the SMART Modified Tour event from Caraway and preview the upcoming event at Dominion that sets up the tour for the playoffs.

    Episode 152 is on the scene with our Labor Day Weekend Racing Recap!

    We discuss the Southern 500 from Darlington. It was a great night for Legacy Auto Club, Kaulig Racing and Chase Briscoe but it wasn't that great for Penske and Hendrick Motorsports. Many of the playoff drivers had trouble while 23X1 had great points days. Julian caught up with some of the top finishers during his Darlington trip while Jody and him play Gas It Up or Pump The Brakes on who's in trouble in the playoffs after the first race.

    We break down the CARS Tour race from Florence with exclusive interviews and weigh in on who has the advantage between Connor Hall and Landen Lewis in the remaining three races. We also discuss the local ringers that made up positions 3-5 on Friday and Keelan Harvick's Pro Late Model win.

    The SMART Modified Tour is coming off its beach trip where they raced at Coastal Plains on Friday and Carteret County on Saturday. Jonathan Cash picked up his first career win on the tour and joined us to discuss all about it.

    Andres Perez De Lara is a rookie on the Craftsman Truck Series and just recently joined NIECE Motorsports after spending a majority of the season with Spire Motorsports. The 2024 ARCA Series Champion joins the show to discuss the in-season transition, preparing for a tough track like Darlington and racing in Mexico City among other topics.

    14 year Lane Woods won the $3,000 Limited Sportsman race at Franklin County Raceway on Sunday. Lane has achieved success at several tracks in the Carolina's and Virginia but this is his biggest win yet. He joins the show to talk about his career so far, being tutored by Craig Moore and what his future may hold.

    Jody was at Franklin County on Sunday and he caught up with some of the winners and most of the track champions this season.

    Bethany Sox has launched 4Speed Marketing and hopes that it will help drivers with their social media needs and overall marketing that is so crucial in this day and age. She joins us to talk more about that and what is going on at Ace Speedway where she also works.
