  • Winslet vs Daily Mail: Weight loss libel trial
    Dec 6 2023

Back in 2009, in a pre-Instagram world, Oscar-winner Kate Winslet took Associated Newspapers to court over an article published in the Daily Mail that claimed she was lying about her exercise regime. Why was it so important to her to set the record straight? Why did the Daily Mail even go there when they knew she had already won a similar case against Grazia magazine? I'm not sure who narrated the parts of Amber and Johnny or the rest but it wasn't their true voices, second what trail did ya'll watch over there? What we watched was entirely different. I mean we actually WATCHED it, not just listened. How you could say this wasn't correct in the verdict we have to disagree. The jury didn't see it your way either. If you know anything about Amber Heard, her troubles started in high school in Texas where I live. VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER All public information. That's why she went to work at strip clubs and to Hollywood. It just continued, she has a major temper, didn't you see the videos of how she treats people? And I really think the only truth she said was that she had been married to Johnny Depp. Who would take photos I know you were concentrating on how beautiful she was, but her UGLY shown through. This trial didn't start against Ms Heard, everything turned on the evidence and what she said that was proven untrue. That video of Depp slamming cabinet doors? His mother had just died! When she set up that camera she knew that morning would be hard for him that's why he said "Did something happen to YOU this morning? I DON'T THINK SO!" Was she comforting him like most wives would be doing? Of course not. Everything she did was a set up. Look up her records, you can still see them online. And remember too, she was arrested for assault on her "wife" before this. What's fair you ask? Listen to both sides, it really sounds like you made your decision before the trial even started and that's sad. And unfair.
