Hey Wreckage Clearers! On this episode we will discuss how it was for me back then learning that I needed to meditate to improve my connection with God. I share with you how it is important to be silent and sit in stillness for a little while. I also share with you some tools that I used back then to help me meditate. I just needed to learn how to sit still and be with God and be with myself. Be in my thoughts and be. We are just that..human beings. Hey my Wreckage Clearers! Yep it was that time in my journey where I needed to improve my connection to and with God. My wifi signal needed to go from poor to excellent. I had a different viewpoint of God and even what prayer was all about back then. I thought prayer was just asking for what I need all the time. I found out though that prayer was a way for me to communicate and grow an intimate connection with God. Inviting god in to my life. Walking with God. I invite you in as I share with you how that looked at that time in my journey of clearing the wreckage.

Hey my Wreckage Clearers! I must continue to look inside and promptly admit when wrong. The only way for me to know that I have done wrong or that I may be a little off or not on the right track is by looking inside. I must look at myself first. Take stock if you will, and taker an inventory. What's there ? What is missing? What do I need? How can I improve? Where did I go wrong? But also I must see the good as well. Like a business does inventory, the same applies with me. What am I doing that is good? This is an everyday thing and it must continue daily in order for me to become the best version of myself. in order to grow I must look at the areas of growth and the areas of where I may need to improve. Are you ready to continue this journey? This is what clearing the wreckage is all about.

Hey my Wreckage Clearers! Now it was and is time to begin setting things right with others. By this point in my journey I had become fully aware of the harm I caused others so I made a list of those people I harmed and I set out to make things right. We must become aware of the harm we are causing others first. That's why it is imperative to set things right with yourself first. Are you still walking around being a child? Are you demonstrating child-like behaviors? Such as not apologizing when you have harmed someone? It is time to grow up. We all know right from wrong, so let's do right by others. Our actions affect every one around us. Once I realized that, things begin to change. The wreckage begin clearing.

Hey my wreckage clearers! In this episode I discuss with you the process of how it was for me to set things right with myself first. I share with you exactly how it looked and what took place inside of me. I was given a set of new eyes as I was now able to see myself correctly. What I mean is, the way that God sees me, through the eyes of love and grace. then I was able to grab that love and grace and wrapped myself up in it and forgive myself and move forward with those new eyes. No longer looking at myself as Mr. Can't get right, or a failure, or unworthy but rather seeing myself as worthy, as good enough. So how do you see yourself?

Hey my Wreckage Clearers! I had to grow up and it was past time and it was happening. I truly began to grow and clear the wreckage once I saw with the right eyes the wreckage I have caused. The harm I had done to myself and the harm I had done to others or caused others. It was right in front of me so now what was I gonna do? Well when you are faced with the truth, you can either deny and play hide and seek or you can grow up and take the necessary steps to began clearing the wreckage. My friends it is very difficult for you not to change to not be transformed when you are facing the truth. Unless you just want to stay the way you are. However, the truth is, the human experience is about growth. If you ask me if you not growing, you dying. you are harming yourself and every one around you with the smell of death. Don't you want to live?

Hey Wreckage Clearers! I was at that point where I experienced grace and humility. These two things are required to get to it. Not required to go through it but if you gonna get to it, these two things must coexist. As they do actually coexist with one another perfectly. You'll see in our discussion today how I needed both and how we need both in order to get to it. We must and I mean it is a must that we go through it first. Not around it, not away from it, not hide from it, but go through it. Whatever that means for you and your life. For me it meant going through being homeless, going through another relapse and going through the steps of recovery and getting help. The help in turn taught me how to clear the wreckage. Let's continue to clear the wreckage together! By taking the time to look inside so that the wreckage can begin to clear!

Hey Wreckage Clearers! Now was the time in my journey where I had to humbly ask that power greater than me to remove my defects of character. I realized this one foundational truth: That I can not do it on my own. Walk with me as I share my experience with you, how it was and what it was like and also what it is like now. Remember we are on this journey together. And as much as it takes me some humility to say, I need help and I need for God to do for me what I cannot do for myself. I also need the help of others.
