God is the God of suddenly. You'll have an entire era where literally nothing looks like it's happening — you're still water, the surface shows nothing — and then all of a sudden, everything starts moving. Whenever it looks like something isn't happening, everything is happening. You can't rely on outside evidence to give you faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The substance of the ocean isn't the surface of the ocean. The surface is just the top of it. Your due season is a window of opportunity for whatever has been growing and brewing in the spirit to find expression in the natural. It won't come when you want it, it won't come before you need it, it won't come after you thought you should have had it — it will come in its due season. So don't let your heart be troubled. Forgiveness after deep hurt and trauma — Jesus said forgive 77 times (Matthew 18:21-22) but what does that actually look like when someone did something horrible to you and you're still carrying it years later?I was worshiping, praying, trying to figure out which decision to make — A, B, C, all of it — and the Holy Spirit whispered: if you're in me, if you're with me, you cannot be in fear. The moment I heard it I was flooded with peace. God is not the author of confusion, and he's not the author of your stress either. 1 John 4:18 says there is no fear in love. Perfect, complete, full-grown love drives out fear — and Jesus IS that love. Fear involves the expectation of punishment, so if you're afraid, you haven't yet grown into a sufficient understanding of what God's love for you actually is. Put all the energy you're using to imagine a thousand different outcomes into being with Jesus instead. You can't be in fear when you're with him.

Psalm 119:105 says "thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." But what does that actually mean? John 9 says a man was born blind and everyone assumed it was because of sin — his sin or his parents' sin. Jesus said no. This happened so that the power of God would be seen in him. The story of Lazarus in John 11 isn't just about a man being raised from the dead — it's about what happens when you align with what God is already doing. Jesus heard Lazarus was sick and waited two more days. That wasn't rejection. That was alignment.
