  • Do you tell yourself I ought to be able to do X, or do you ask what it will take?
    Feb 10 2026

Most of us believe discipline is just about willpower — but what if the secret to success is actually in designing the right structures? Success coach Martin Brosman reveals a counterintuitive shift that transforms "I should" into guaranteed results. Whether you're struggling to stick to healthy habits, break old patterns, or hit big goals, this episode unveils the surprisingly simple frameworks that make discipline effortless and automatic.

Imagine leaving behind the mental guilt and frustration—and instead, setting up concrete systems that ensure success. Martin shares stories from his own coaching experience and real-life examples, like how a computer repair shop owner turned a recurring mistake into a fixed habit by recognizing where he was truly stuck. He breaks down practical tactics like accountability, reminders, rewards, and environmental tweaks to guarantee your progress—even when motivation wanes.

You’ll discover: the key difference between wishing and guaranteeing; why relying solely on willpower is flawed; and the specific structures that turn good intentions into lasting change. We also explore common pitfalls—like overestimating discipline—and introduce simple, proven frameworks to rewire your habits without endless effort. This isn’t about motivation—it’s about smart systems that work when you don’t.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Without the right structures, you’re just waiting for motivation that might never show up. But with these strategies, success becomes inevitable—no matter what you're trying to achieve. Perfect for entrepreneurs, busy professionals, or anyone tired of failed attempts and endless self-criticism, this episode gives you the blueprint to turn intentions into results.

Ready to stop relying on discipline alone? Tune in, redefine your approach, and start automating your success today. Because when you build the right structures, achieving your goals becomes not just possible, but guaranteed.

Martin Brosman is a success coach with years of experience helping people break through mental barriers and create sustainable habits. If you're ready for a proven shift in how you approach discipline and achievement, this episode is a must-listen.

  • About perspective when dealing with something difficult you need to do
    Jul 5 2025

In this episode, Martin Brossman shares a personal story about undergoing cataract surgery and how shifting his perspective helped reduce anxiety and give him a sense of control. As someone naturally squeamish and uncomfortable with medical procedures, Martin explains how choosing to see the experience as an opportunity to assist the surgeon and remain mentally curious reframed the situation. He connects this mindset to other life challenges—like riding a roller coaster—where adopting a useful perspective, even if not entirely "true," can reduce stress and build resilience. The episode emphasizes the power of mindset when facing unavoidable, uncomfortable tasks and encourages listeners to choose perspectives that serve them well.

Working in retail or the restaurant industry? Then you know—anyone can walk through that door. When I managed a RadioShack, our inside joke was: "If they can walk in, they will."

Dealing with the public teaches you resilience, fast thinking, and emotional intelligence—skills no book can fully prepare you for. In this episode, I share how applying principles from Aikido helped me navigate high-conflict situations with grace, leading to recognition from IBM and Governor Hunt.

  • Memorial Day
    May 26 2025

Today is Memorial Day, May 26, 2025

On this Memorial Day, I’m remembering not only the brave service members who died in battle, but also those lost to training accidents and friendly fire. The process of preparing for service is serious and dangerous—despite every effort to prevent it, accidents still happen. Their sacrifices matter too.

  • The Potential Gifts of our Childhood Challenges - My journey (Longer Show)
    Apr 20 2025

About this show: Many years ago I realized that i had built my identity around being "confused" and "broken," and I often compensated for it with humor and other things. Now I see those compensations as tools to use vs them using me. I went through deep personal development work, a divorce, and periods of depression. Eventually, I realized that if I wanted a different life, I had to change my identity. I created a mission for myself: to become a catalyst who helps people live meaningful lives.

Along the way, I used various strategies to shift my mindset. I learned to associate more with acknowledgments than with failures, and I committed to creating and living from a new identity. I also had to confront challenges like dealing with ADD, feeling disconnected from my body, and learning the importance of being fully present in the moment. Biofeedback training, participating in men’s groups, and developing what I call a "compassionate observer" were all critical parts of my journey.

I’ve come to believe that the challenges I faced in childhood, though painful, were actually gifts. They helped me become a more intuitive and effective coach. I place a strong emphasis on understanding people's "model of the world" and focus my coaching on creating minimum change for maximum return on investment over time. In the end, I’ve found that living from a mission naturally fuels my own ongoing personal development.
