-1.25 oz sweet vermouth

-0.5 oz black cherry juice

-dash of angostura bitters

What is literally everyone’s problem in this movie? This week Raven and Campbell discuss plot holes, bad educators, and possibly the worst dialogue known to humankind in the 2022 musical film, The Magic Flute.

The Night Queen Recipe:

-2 oz sesame cream* (black sesame seeds, sugar, water, coconut cream)

-1 oz Jagermeister

-0.5 oz Empress 1908 gin

Combine ingredients into a shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy!

*Add ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water, and ½ cup of toasted black sesame seeds to a sauce pan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool and blend until mixture is homogeneous. Add 3 tbsp coconut cream and blend until smooth.

-0.5 oz elderflower liqueur

-0.75 oz blueberry and bay leaf syrup

-0.5 oz lime juice

-Soda water or club soda

Combine liquors, syrup, and juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Combine and pour over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Top with soda water.

There’s snow business like snow business (derogatory). For this festive episode, Raven and Campbell share presents and cookie boxes, gush over Rosemary Clooney, and try to make sense of the writing choices in the 1954 Holiday Musical Film, White Christmas.

The Snow Cap Recipe:

• 4 to 5 cups ice
• 4 ounces ginger simple syrup
• 4 ounces white rum
• 1 ounce lime juice
• Garnish with sugar coated cranberries* and a sprig of rosemary

Blend everything minus the cranberries and rosemary in a blender (makes 3-4 drinks). pour into a glass and garnish in a crimus fashion.

*Soak fresh cranberries in the ginger simple syrup for about 15 minutes. Coat with granulated sugar and allow time to dry (about an hour).

Raven’s fears came true…a straight romance subplot. This week Raven and Campbell discuss Nessa’s speedy policy making, literally dozens of ballads, and the ultimate villain that is the Cowardly Lion in the 2025 musical film Wicked: For Good.

The Good Witch Recipe:

• 0.75 oz vodka
• 0.5 oz lemon juice
• 0.5 oz strawberry simple syrup
• 1.5 tsp raspberry puree
• Sparkling wine or champagne
• brown sugar

Rim a glass with brown sugar. Add vodka, juice, syrup, and puree into a shaker with ice. Combine and strain into your glass and top with sparkling wine.
