  • How a Strawberry Necklace Started My Custom Jewelry Business
    Jun 25 2025

Xinh chao friends, welcome back to Boi Boi Life, where I talk about life, identity, and everything else in between.

In this episode, I’m sharing the origin story of my custom name necklace business — and it all started with my little cousin. Her Vietnamese nickname means strawberry, and I wanted to design something special for her.

So, with my dad (a goldsmith), we created a custom necklace: the letter R with a strawberry charm — her first initial and her nickname. That one design sparked everything. It reminded me how powerful and emotional personalized jewelry can be, especially for those of us growing up in between cultures.

    I talk about:
    – How I started my jewelry business from scratch
    – The meaning behind that first necklace
    – Working with my dad as a second-gen Vietnamese-Canadian
    – Why custom name jewelry is about identity, roots, and love

    📍Designed in Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦

  • Black Mirror S7: Tech, Terror, and Truths We Can’t Ignore
    May 26 2025

Xinh chào friends, welcome back to Boi Boi Life, where I talk about life, identity, and everything else in between.

Today we’re diving into Black Mirror Season 7 — and wow, this season hit different. It wasn’t just about the dangers of technology or dystopian futures. This time, it focused on us — our emotions, our relationships, our longing for connection — and how technology quietly weaves its way into all of it.

Instead of the usual shock and terror, this season gave us stories that felt... tender. Messy. Uncomfortably human. From digital grief and AI love to the way fame fractures friendships and how memory becomes currency — it made me reflect deeply on how we relate not just to tech, but to each other in this digital age.

In this episode, I unpack how Season 7 explores intimacy, loneliness, self-worth, and the human condition through a technological lens — and why that shift matters. Less robots, more heartbreak. And honestly? It might be Black Mirror’s most real season yet.

So grab a drink, settle in, and let’s talk about the complicated relationship between humans and the tech that mirrors our deepest needs.
