  • Jelly Roll, Brandon Lake, “Hard Fought Hallelujuah” and a Wednesday Prayer
    Apr 30 2025

Hello Friend, Bob Perry here. It has been interesting to watch how Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake's new song, "Hard Fought Hallelujah," is catching the attention of millions of people across the globe.

The song captures the gritty reality of faith while delivering a powerful message of hope and strength. Its emotional depth resonates with millions of listeners, drawing in testimonies from various platforms, including live performances at the Grand Ole Opry, American Idol, and Jimmy Kimmel.

One listener expressed, "I don't consider myself religious, but I connect with the emotions they convey. My heart is more open to God than ever before."

Another wrote, "I am a grumpy, cynical, old man who has witnessed much of the world's wrongs. I just watched a Jimmy Kimmel interview with Jelly Roll. I haven’t heard much about him except that he was a convict who became a singer that found God. I found his honesty refreshing and his personality wholesome and real. I heard them discussing this song and figured, why not give it a try? I had my headphones on because my wife was watching Netflix! By the end of the song, I was crying, shouting, and cheering. My wife thought I had lost it! I got her to pause her TV show and played it back for her; she understands now, and we were both in tears. Something new is happening in us—a fresh hunger to know the God they sang about."

This is just two of many examples of how the song transcends religious boundaries and touches the hearts of listeners everywhere. Come on God! We love this good news!

    Let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, we stand before you, aware of your deep care for people and your desire for all of humanity to experience life in abundance. We commit ourselves to pursuing revival, this move of God, that breathes life, nourishes the soul, preserves our hearts, and restores our spirits.

We seek your grace for repentance, revival, and awakening. You long for every individual to truly know you and to experience the life that comes through Christ. Ignite within us an awakening that brings renewal, restoration, rest, identity, and purpose.

Lord, we ask that you pour out your Spirit upon the young, especially those in Generation Z, born between 1996 and 2012. They find themselves at the crossroads, encountering both revival and retreat. May you illuminate their path, revealing to them the way, the truth, and the life.

We fervently pray for young men to be drawn back to you O God, that they may rise up as modern-day Davids, bold and fearless.

We declare with hope, "Prodigals of all ages, return home to the Father, his arms are wide open, waiting for you!"

Jesus, we yearn for a mighty awakening, where hundreds of thousands in our community come to know you through the overwhelming outpouring of your Spirit.

With eager anticipation, we wait upon you, trusting that you will perform signs, wonders, and miracles to showcase your goodness for this generation.

Lord, draw near to us, as we draw near to you.

We desire an abundance of your presence,

    an outpouring of your power,

    the wealth of your provision,

and the fullness of your providence.

O God, rend the heavens and come down to us. Save us once more, for we remain hopeful and expectant of your divine intervention.

    Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

  • Anxiety Is Not Our Destiny
    Apr 28 2025

Hello, friend! Bob Perry here, reaching out to you with warmth of Papa God’s love. My prayer is focused on seeing you “breaking free from anxiety.”

Anxiety doesn’t disqualify you from approaching God—in fact, it serves as a gentle nudge, prompting you to run eagerly into his loving embrace.

As you navigate your journey, take heart in knowing that you can freely express your feelings to God. Lay bare your worries, seek his guidance, and offer thanks for who he is and for the promises he holds for you. Embrace honesty and transparency in your conversations with him. He treasures that!

Gracious God, my Comforter and Provider, we come before you acknowledging your sovereignty and majesty. You see every intricacy of our lives, and you are intimately aware of the burdens we carry and the anxieties that weigh heavily on our hearts. Your compassionate presence assures us that we can cast all our cares upon you, for you genuinely care for us. In this sacred act of surrender, we experience profound relief, as you lighten our burdens and free us from the oppressive weight of our worries.

During life’s storms and uncertain moments, we find reassurance in your unfailing strength and infinite power. You are our refuge, our sanctuary of protection and safety. Your presence envelops us, instilling a comforting sense of security that reminds us we are never alone in our struggles.

As the Apostle Paul beautifully expressed in Philippians, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

His abundance provides peace—tranquil and restful, settling over our hearts like a gentle morning mist.

His abundance brings wisdom—insightful and illuminating, guiding us through the fog of doubt.

His abundance offers healing—nurturing and restorative, mending our weary spirits and bodies.

His abundance includes financial provision—sustaining and generous, ensuring we have all that we need.

His abundance provides answers and ideas—creative and innovative, lighting the path forward.

His abundance delivers comfort—soothing and gentle, wrapping us in a warm embrace during our trials.

Our God, boundless in generosity, provides everything we need—not from our own lack, but from his infinite reservoir of abundance.

Lord, teach us the sacred art of trust in prayer as we shift our focus—turning away from our overwhelming problems, to you, our eternal provider.

    Amen.

  • A Prayer for the Days After the Resurrection
    Apr 21 2025

    Hello Friend, Bob Perry Here.

As we enter into prayer now, let us remember that we are not alone. Our voices join with believers across the globe and throughout history, praying as Jesus taught us:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.

Gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in mercy, may our week in the workplace overflow with the Father's boundless love. May we willingly lay down our lives in the sacrificial love of the Son, and may we be strengthened by the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

Risen Savior, may the profound power of your resurrection uplift and inspire us today and throughout all the days of our lives. May the memory of your ultimate sacrifice—amazing love and redemption—always linger in our hearts and minds. Empower us to be shining examples of your selfless love and compassion, demonstrating care and kindness to all those we encounter, today and every day.

Heavenly Father, as we, your children, face the challenges of this week, we ask for your calming presence to surround us and provide refuge from the storms. Grant us wisdom, discernment, and insight.

Help us to see what you want us to see, for we know that the things in our world are not as they appear. Having risen from the dead, you are making all things new. You are sovereign over everything. Let our faith in you, rather than our fear of this world, be our source of empowerment and courage each day.

Father, help us live this day to its fullest potential, staying true to you in every action and thought.

Jesus, inspire us to give ourselves away generously to others and to radiate kindness to everyone we encounter.

Spirit, fill our hearts with a profound love for the lost, empowering us to proclaim Christ in all we do and say.

Let us embrace this day with the richness of your faith and love.

    Amen.

  • Prayer for Holy Week
    Apr 16 2025

Hello, Friend of God. Bob Perry here. We join the Church around the globe, preparing to remember the death and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with over two billion Christians worldwide.

As I enter prayer now, I am mindful that my voice is not alone, but part of a symphony of believers across the globe and throughout history, united in the prayer that Jesus taught us:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts, as we forgive those indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, both now and forever.

    Amen.

Through the ages, prayers have been said, recorded, and then reprayed as worship. This practice, known as 'The Liturgy of the Hours,' is a set of prayers that mark the hours of each day and sanctify the day with prayer. It is a way to join our voices with believers across time and space.

Lord our God, Father of all, You guard us under the shadow of your wings And search into the depths of our hearts. Remove the blindness that cannot know you, And remove the fear that would hide us from your sight. We ask this through Christ our Lord.”

Adding our praises to Jesus as we pray the words of the beautiful, Good Friday hymn,

"When I survey the wondrous cross

on which the Prince of Glory died,

my richest gain I count but loss,

and pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast

save in the death of Christ, my God!

All the vain things that charm me most,

I sacrifice them through his blood.

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,

sorrow and love flow mingled down.

Did ever such love and sorrow meet,

or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,

that were a present far too small.

    Love so amazing, so divine,

demands my soul, my life, my all."

Mighty God, we take a solemn journey with you through the silence, suffering, and deep sadness that lead us to Easter morning—the dawn of hope marked by the profound event of Jesus’s resurrection.

From a time of sorrow and grief, we celebrate the Resurrection, this miraculous moment as the cornerstone of our faith, symbolizing not merely a victory, but a stunning triumph over the oppressive forces of sin and death.

Jesus, thank you for your victory, it offers the radiant promise of eternal life for all who embrace you with their faith.

Oh, loving Jesus, we humbly acknowledge and joyfully celebrate your astonishing resurrection. Our hearts swell with gratitude for your incredible victory over sin and death, a victory that fills our spirits with unparalleled hope and joy.

Heavenly Father, we rejoice with all of creation in this blessed truth. We take delight in Your presence, in your Son, and in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is truly alive, and we celebrate his life—a life that is eternal and brings us comfort and assurance, reminding us that we live fully because of him.

    Amen.

    He is risen.

    He is risen, indeed.

    Hallelujah!

  • Holy Week Prayer
    Apr 14 2025

Workplace Prayer: Prayer for the Workplace

    Hello Friend, Bob Perry here.

I pray that the grace of God is with you during this Holy Week as we reflect on Jesus's sacrifice and eagerly anticipate the joy of Resurrection Sunday—an occasion filled with hope and new beginnings!

May this Passion Week be profoundly significant and sacred in your personal journey with Jesus, as we all look forward to celebrating Easter Sunday together.

Heavenly Father, I am humbled by your boundless grace, especially in times when I have fallen short of your glory. Your grace is my comfort and reassurance.

In moments of uncertainty, I find security in trusting your divine plan, knowing that you are always in control. Forgive me for my doubt.

Jesus, I surrender my worries and fears to you, aware that you hold everything in your hands. Help me to focus my eyes on you, and may my love for you grow.

Lord, one of the incredible truths of this week is that you, Jesus, paid the price for our salvation. Your death, burial, and resurrection provided the means for me to become a part of God's vast family—children of grace redeemed from every nation and culture.

Almighty God, your dear son suffered for me. Your word says that he was made perfect through suffering.

Jesus, you came from eternity into time and space for this very purpose to save, heal, and deliver me. You emptied yourself of your glory by taking on the form of the Son of Man and were obedient, even to death on the cross.

Gracious God, I give thanks for the miracle of your Son's Resurrection—a beacon of hope and a testament to your power. I pray that the power of his Resurrection will fill my heart and mind, renew me, and enable me to walk in the newness of life.

May I be transformed by His love and grace, reflecting in the joy and hope found in his Resurrection.

As the events of our week unfold, grant me the grace to slow my pace and quiet my heart, so I may fully contemplate the wonders of your sacrifice and love for me.

May the revelation of your work on the cross and the Resurrection grow exponentially within me.

    In Jesus' name, Amen.

Friend, I am carrying you in my heart and praying daily that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, will impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in him, deepening your intimacy with Christ. Amen.

    "He is risen."

    "He is risen, indeed.”
