Directed by Todd Solondz, this film follows middle schooler Dawn Weiner as she faces constant harassment and bullying from other students, her siblings, and even her own mother. This film is planted firmly in the mid-90s with a lot of "f" and "r" bombs, but we manage to find our way around it somehow.

In our first year of the podcast, we did an entire month of Michael Bay films for May and called it "It's Gonna Be Bay". Well, we learned from that experience, which was very trying on our mental health, so we vowed never to do that again. Since then, we have done one Michael Bay movie per year on the last Monday before May, and this year is no exception. We're finally discussing one of Bay's only truly good films, THE ROCK from 1996, starring Sean Connery and a slew of "welcome backs" including Nic Cage, Ed Harris, William Forsythe, and Michael Biehn. Nic Cage is a mild-mannered virologist who is tasked with stopping Ed Harris and his band of disenfranchised Marines from dropping chemical bombs on San Francisco with the help of former SAS agent and 30-year prisoner Sean Connery. Time for badabooms and ratatats.
