In this episode, Dan travels to High Bridge, NJ ahead of Esker Hart's 1 Year Anniversary. Bobby from Esker Hart joins the podcast and talks about the first year of the brewery, the new beers being released for the anniversary, his favorite beers of the past year, and even shares some personal news.

In this episode we go over Untappd's 2024 Community Awards which spotlights the top beers of the past year in each beer style. Tom and Dan go over the national awards won by some of our favorite local breweries and then talk about some of the top beers in each style in the state of New Jersey. Some surprising results but of no surprise - New York and New Jersey dominated by winning many national awards, but not necessarily winning the categories you may have expected.

Also in this episode, we bid farewell to Brotherton Brewing who announced their closing after 10 years in the craft beer game. Sporting a 3.85 Untappd average on their beers, there is still time to visit the brewery before the end of the month. Also - Chase from Top Beer Drops stops by and goes over the top new beers in the country according to Untappd - a list that is led by a collab of two local breweries that we love.

Our first episode of 2025 - Tom and Dan talk to Brent of Common Space Brewery who has helped to start "We Love LA" - a nationwide effort that brings breweries and beer drinkers together to help the people of Los Angeles that were affected by the wildfires. He talks about why they started the effort and how pleasantly surprised he is by how many breweries have committed to the campaign.

We also talk about Evil Twin bringing back the 8oz stubby can - our favorite vessel ever for beer. Chase from Top Beer Drops joins us to talk about the top rated beers of the past week as well as a look ahead to this year's Droppies which highlights the top rated beers and breweries of 2024.
