Excellent For Anyone Dealing With Addiction

I am so grateful to have stumbled onto this podcast several months ago. Full disclosure: I was already a trailrunner and my wife has struggled with addiction - so I may have been predisposed to get a lot from these programs. Listening and using what I have learned has helped me become a better father and husband. The interviews and solo episodes found here are very empowering. Blu Robinson and Marissa employ a relaxed, non-pushy style that is easy to listen to.

A solid start point is episode 89 "Illuminate" (9/8/20) as it features Coach Blu being interviewed and the history and philosophy of this non-profit are nicely explained.

poor leader, abuses authority for personal gain

Steer clear. This guy is a fraud. When I began to question his leadership, due to blatant inconsistencies between his official statements and actions, he hired a lawyer to shut me up. Beyond his highly questionable leadership, he and his "sober coahes" had taken more than a thousand dollars from me and when he started to deny the actions he had taken, the actions that I have ample proof of, I asked about how the donations had been allocated and once again, he had his lawyer try to silence me. This guy is like that mormon bishop who nobody believes is molesting the young men, until the truth comes out and everyone realizes how he had leveraged his position and authority to take advantage of traumatized indivuduals and pull the wool over everbody's eyes.
