  • Ep. 46 - [Amy Bors] Part 3: Paid Accountability Helped Me Find Joy in My Work Again
    Sep 3 2025

    Send us a text

Welcome to Part 3 of our 3-part series on accountability. In this episode, I’m joined by my client Amy Bors, a successful business owner who manages nearly 200 employees and over 6,000 units in her property management company. On paper, everything looked incredible but inside, Amy felt buried by busywork, drowning in emails, and losing her joy for the work she once loved. That’s when she invested in paid accountability through coaching.

    In this episode, Amy shares:
Why she realized she couldn’t “do it all” anymore (and didn’t have to)
The small but powerful changes (like eating lunch!) that gave her back energy and focus
How paid accountability created space for joy, peace, and new growth in her life and business
The questions she asked herself before saying yes to investing in support

Welcome to Part 2 of our 3-part series on accountability. Sometimes, all it takes is saying your idea out loud to the right people. Today I’m joined by Nancy Moore, speaker, podcaster, and event host, whose peer accountability group helped her turn a “maybe someday” idea into 11 successful events attended by 459 people (and counting).

    We talk about:
How peer accountability differs from personal and paid support
The moment Nancy’s idea shifted into action
Why your peer group needs to share your drive (even if they’re on different paths)
The simple, brave step you can take today to find your own peer support

  • Ep. 44 - [Danait Berhe] Part 1: Personal Accountability + AI = Successful Schedule Adjustments
    Sep 1 2025

    Send us a text

Welcome to Part 1 of our 3-part series on accountability, inspired by my research (Ep. 43). In this first conversation, I’m joined by my friend and brand strategist, Danait Berhe, who shares how she leaned on personal accountability and AI during one of the biggest transitions of her life, returning to work after maternity leave.

    Danait opens up about:
Why she turned to AI to get an honest view of her time and capacity
The ABC Week method she created to work with her energy instead of against it
How she stayed focused on what mattered most, even when she had just a few hours a week to work
Her litmus test for when it’s time to seek outside accountability

If you’ve ever wondered whether personal accountability can actually work, or how to make it work in a messy, real-life season, this episode will give you tools and encouragement to try it for yourself.

  • Ep. 43 - Why 81% Fail: The Accountability Gap [My Research Results]
    Aug 25 2025

    Send us a text

Most women believe they can hold themselves accountable but the data tells a different story. In my latest research with 116 women entrepreneurs, 81% said they prefer self-accountability tools like planners or lists…but only 6% said it actually works.

That’s what I call The Accountability Gap No One Talks About.

In this episode, I’m breaking down my research results that includes data related to personality assessments including the Enneagram, Myers Briggs, Four Tendencies and Human Design. Plus I share my brand new HERO Roles assessment that shows you how you naturally approach goals, where you get stuck, and the kind of support that actually helps you finish what you start.

  • Ep. 41 - The Silent Cost of Not Taking Action (And What to Do About It)
    Aug 11 2025

    Send us a text

You know that thing you keep saying you want to do…but haven’t done yet? This episode is for you. In this solo episode, I explore what it’s really costing you when you stay stuck: emotionally, energetically, and mentally. It’s not just about time. When you delay taking action on something you care about, it chips away at your confidence, drains your energy, and blocks your sense of fulfillment. This episode will help you get real with yourself about what you want, what's holding you back and if you're ready to take action or if it's time to let it go.

Plus I share a teaser about the research I've been conducting! The results will be released on September 1 and those on my email list will be the first to know all about it. Jump on there at amandamckinney.com/free

  • Ep. 40 - [Christy Pennison] When Labels Become Limits (and How to Let Them Go)
    Aug 4 2025

    Send us a text

What if the very words you use to describe yourself are holding you back? In this episode, therapist and entrepreneur Christy Pennison joins me for a powerful conversation about how labels—like "procrastinator" or "not business-minded"—can quietly limit our potential. We explore the importance of self-awareness, the difference between identity and habit, and how small, brave steps (plus the right support!) can help you rewrite the story you’re living by. If you're ready to release the labels that no longer serve you, this one’s for you.

  • Ep. 39 - [Lauren Berlin] Visualization: How to Tap into Flow, Focus, and Fun
    Jul 28 2025

    Send us a text

You’ve likely heard someone say “just visualize it” but what does that even mean in the middle of a chaotic Tuesday or when you’re spinning out about your next big move? In this episode, executive coach Lauren Berlin breaks down the practice of visualization in a way that’s actually doable (and dare we say fun) for everyday life and entrepreneurship.

We talk about how to use visualization when you’re overwhelmed, why you’re probably already doing it without realizing it, and how to make it personal so it actually works for you. If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at the idea of “manifesting” but secretly wanted to feel more in flow, this conversation is the bridge between ambition and alignment.
