  • GPYS 327 - Tyler Lemco Returns
    Jan 8 2026

The Montreal arts & entertainment podcast Go Plug Yourself welcomes back Tyler Lemco and asks the question: "Who in your life do you think is most likely a time traveler?" That question asked as always be our good friend Sarah Warren back in episode 326.

If you remember back in July we had Tyler Lemco on the show talking about Dr Lemco's Creative Club where Tyler was hosting creative art parties all over the city, one of the things he mentioned was that it was his dream to have his own space to host these events. A Creative Clubhouse so to speak. Well guess what? He did it! Located at 5271 de Maisonneuve just steps away from Vendome metro Dr Lemco's Creative Club is now a real place that you can go to with your friends and make cool art. He'll be hosting theme nights, watch parties, trivia nights and more and you can book the space for your own private art parties too. For more information check out www.drlem.co to find out more. Troy, Walter and I headed over to check out the new space and talk art, comedy and more. What do you got to lose?

Dr. Lemco's Creative Club is located at 5271 de Maisonneuve, full calendar of events and tickets here.

    Enjoy the show!

As always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Leighland Beckman and Aural Turpitude!

Keith does all sorts of things here on 9to5.cc, he works with the other founders on 9to5 (illustrated), co-hosts our two podcasts: The 9to5 Entertainment System and Go Plug Yourself and sometimes blogs here as The Perspicacious Geek.

Walter J. Lyng is a stand-up comedian based out of Montreal, you should follow him on Twitter @wallygoodtimes and on Facebook: Walter J. Lyng

Troy Stark is yet another amazing Montreal comedian and promoter who indulges me in co-hosting this wonderful little show of ours. You can catch him pretty often at the World’s Smallest Comedy Night and Cheap Laughs at Rustik Pub, both of which he produces.

  • 9ES 353: An Audio Portrait of 2025
    Dec 31 2025

As we do most years we are taking advantage of the final episode of the year to take a look back at the year that was. 2025 was, as years go, “a bit of a year” for most of us. As we all firmly enter our mid-40’s I am pretty sure full calendar years of whimsy and fun are things of the past. At least until we start experimenting with whatever drugs they will be giving old people in the year 2060.

To begin with, let’s just toot our own horn a little bit, shall we? Between this show, Go Plug Yourself and all the festival shows we do in a year we ran up about 30,000 downloads in 2025. I know it’s a drop in the bucket in the big podcasting game but even that modest number is big enough to make me smile a little. Thank you rare listener who reads the show notes, we do it for you.

So after making a little room for our personal 2025s we dive into some of the headlines from the world of sports and politics. The politics talk bums us out so then we talk about more fun things like movies, TV shows and video games. Those were a lot more fun.

We keep the general theme of “year in review” going over on Garbage Time. Scott and Keith talk about some of the albums and concerts they enjoyed in 2025 and then turn their gaze to the future to figure out what movies and shows might pique their interest in 2026.

If you would like to show your support and head over to Patreon and subscribe at the 9ES Deluxe tier to listen to this and all past episodes of Garbage Time that would be appreciated.

  • Go Plug Yourself Holiday Sh*t Show!
    Dec 24 2025
You know what the Go Plug Yourself gang got you for the holidays? A podcast a day early! Our generosity knows no bounds! It’s time for our most chaotic episode of the year! It’s the Go Plug Yourself shit show featuring too many people to mention but I’m going to try anyways – starting with my amazing co-hosts Walter J. Lyng, Lawrence Corber, Troy Stark, my wife Sarah and Chris Venditto, Go Plug Yourself regulars like Vance Michel, The Green Phantom, Mike Carrozza some cameos by Zak Kik, Shosho Abatouk, Harvey the Dog, some guy named Colin or Connor and I’m pretty sure Hasher was there for a second too. It’s a mess you guys. Enjoy the show! The audio quality is always a little all over the place with these bad boys and this year is no exception, I tried to level it off a little (our tendency to yell loudly when anyone showed up was particularly brutal on the ear drums) but it is what it is they say. So load this episode up and put it on a speaker so the whole house feels like a party where you’re not allowed to talk. In fairness, nobody is really “allowed” to talk when we’re all together like this. It’s just about being the loudest person in any given moment.Enjoy the show!Credit Where Credit is DueAs always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Leighland Beckman and Aural Turpitude!Chris Venditto is another funny person in Montreal who you can see all over the place and if you don’t want to miss him take the stage you should follow him on all the socials. He’s @chrisvenditto on Twitter and Instagram so you should follow him on those two things. He also produces shows with the guys at Perfect Bite Productions who you should also follow on Instagram and on Facebook.Keith does all sorts of things here on 9to5.cc, he works with the other founders on 9to5 (illustrated), co-hosts our two podcasts: The 9to5 Entertainment System and Go Plug Yourself and sometimes blogs here as The Perspicacious Geek.Inés Anaya never stops finding ways to be funny: writing for Hindwing Press and The Beaverton, running shows like Stand Up Story Slam and getting on the mic at comedy shows all over the city when it is legally possible to do so. The best way to keep track of what she’s up to next is on Instagram @clout__atlasLawrence Corber also produces some shows you may have heard of (you should probably check out the next Healthy Living show when you get a chance) and if you’re close with him you can call him Lully. The other way to call him “Lully” is to follow him on his socials. @Lully514 on Instagram.Walter J. Lyng is a stand-up comedian based out of Montreal, you should follow him on Twitter @wallygoodtimes and on Facebook: Walter J. LyngSarah is somehow still @femalewalter on Instagram. Follow her for pictures of our dogs and sometimes she remembers to post about all the arts and entertainment we take in all year long.Troy Stark is yet another amazing Montreal comedian and promoter who indulges me in co-hosting this wonderful little show of ours.
