October is the best time of the year for Major League Baseball fans because that means that it is time for postseason baseball. The best of the National League and the American League meet up to battle it out to compete in the World Series. In order to get there, teams first must compete in the Wild Card and the Division Series. In this episode, I discuss the Wild Card Rounds, my predictions, and players to watch in the 2025 postseason. Get excited because OCTOBER BASEBALL IS HERE!!!

You cannot talk baseball and softball without discussing the role and significance of the umpire. This week, I got the opportunity to talk to the first woman to umpire a Division 1 baseball game. That woman is THE Natola Hawthorne. She is not just significant from a historical standpoint, but she gives excellent information on the role of the umpire in a way that you may have never considered along with how it all came to be. This episode was historical, moving, and an important point for all of us to see the significance of women in this space AND how we can all benefit from learning, promoting, and being in the moment of the evolution and acceptance of Women in Sports. We have officially made it to Episode 20 of 10th Inning Talk. A great way to celebrate was to have Just Geefs come on and discuss that fateful 5th inning of the Yankees during the World Series, the greatness of the AUSL's inaugural season, what it means to be a fan of both baseball and softball as a woman, and a bit of "10 to the End".
