Awesome

Another 5 star adventure from this amazing series. I can't wait for the next one. I have already pre-ordered the ebook I look forward to the audio book as well. Highly recommend. If you are a fan of this genre you will not be disappointed!

This series gets better and better

This is second book in the blade of Arris series and it expands from the previous suspenseful and dramatic book. The books flow flawlessly into one other . The author maturity and comfort is evident in this story compared to the first one. It is not just about the sci-fi romance, there is action and political intrigue that keeps you glued. Esme and Zai compliment each other and have great chemistry. There are moments Esme’s self esteem issues grated on my nerves but I think it is because she is so different from Katerina in the first book. Interestingly, the author has created race ambiguous characters and I love it. The tensions have still not been resolved in this book and I cannot wait for the next one .

Quite Interesting

Second book continues storyline that is different than other storylines in the genre. The narrators bring characters to life as needed the depth of the and breadth of each character in the story. I look forward to listening to the next book in the series if or when it is released on Audible.

Interesting story

Let’s see this story was interesting plot and I liked the characters but most of time it was so confusing of what was going on that I just gave up and hoped for the best. It went in so many directions and didn’t explain well but characters made it interesting to listen too. You rooted for them to win. Not much fighting like I thought there would be with them supposedly to be elite warriors and some of content was just funny and had you shaking your head. I don’t know if worth a credit though. 🤔🤔 not much romance either

Action packed, steamy, & primal!

Action packed, steamy, primal, and exciting with excellent narration! This story picked up where book 1 left off. I loved it and will continue with the series for sure!

Fantastic narration of a solid story

This story continues the saga of humans and the blades. It continues the intrigues of the world (well more like universe) and the unlikely couples pairing as they work through the unusual and rare female condition some human women have been subjected to. I look forward to hearing and learning more as the series continues.
The male narration on this is my favorite in the series so far. I loved his deep voice and he had a lot of nuances in his voice that really helped sell his character. I enjoyed listening to him to such a degree I actually paused when he started his first chapter to gasp and turn down anything that might have impacted his narration experience!
The back and forth between these two is smooth and cohesive, like they were telling the story together rather than separately. That is probably what I enjoyed most here. The story felt organic between them and more of an experience to listen to. Overall I enjoyed the book and I definitely hope to listen to more from this male narrator and this author again.

EPIC!!!

I don't think there is any better word to describe this book than EPIC. An epic romance is backed by a epic story filled with taut drama, rich emotion, nerve stretching tension, keep you guessing intrigue and many stunning twists and revelations. I simply adored Esme and Zai.I thought they were just perfect for each other. I thought Zai was super swoon worthy. His devotion to his duty and his strong moral compass was sharply and yet, so very beautifully balanced with his affection, desire and genuine need to care for Esme. Esme herself, was a bit quirky and immensely clever. Her self doubts and emotional baggage made her easy to connect with and to relate to. Together they created a true super couple. There was a poignant sweetness to their relationship that was powerfully moving. This book delivers an enticing blend of sweet and spicy that has your heart a gooey mess while your temperature is rising. While Zai and Esme's romance is a standalone read, there is an overarching story that is unfolding over this series. Personally, I would recommend that you enjoy book one first. It will provide you with a clearer view of the bigger picture, introduce you to characters that reappear throughout and in my opinion, simply increase your own overall enjoyment and understanding of everything and everyone. This book sets up the next one quite nicely and I am seriously anxious to get my hands on it just as soon as I can. The narration here was excellent and the performances made it very easy to get swept up into this intriguing world and fiercely connect with the characters.

Good series

I continue to enjoy this series. It’s a little different because the heroine’s Blood is dangerous for the hero and his compatriots. There is some erotica, but it is a good romance with a twist. It also includes a little intrigue and betrayal. It’s interesting that there are different narrators for all the different characters in both books. They all do a good job.

Better

I think this book is better. You can listen to this book without having heard the 1st one but it is better to do so. I liked it and I’m excited to listen to the next one

Probably Gonna Read Every Book In This Series

A lot of alien romances often tend to be centered more of physical and not to much about world building. I don’t fault authors for doing that because that’s what the genre advertises.

So it’s always a pleasant surprise when they’re is an overarching plot! It adds to the overall enjoyment of the series and the way the author has written it you can expect more petty villains, annoying politicians and the good guys winning at the end!

Another thing that endeared me to the series is the diversity of the women. I know it sounds funny but sometimes when I read an alien romance series, I end up yelling “why is it only the American girls!” and in the same token “why always the white ones!” So just reading someone who has adjectives that I share honestly makes me excited.

Lastly, I think what I like most about this series is how the couples are established from the very beginning. They are acting like a team before they are willing to acknowledge there relationship. So no angst. Hahaha

I’m done monologing! I enjoyed it and definitely reading the next.
