I am new to Nathaniel Hawthorne, I enjoyed the story and the narration. Audio books are a great way to learn the classics

Sad and True

Martha Carrier is my great-something Grandmother. She was killed in the Salem trials. The insanity of dream, the insanity of judgmental fear is put across forcefully in this short, painfully accurate story.

Great Book

I enjoyed this short book, It gave me some chills. It had good detail describtion.

Classic

the narrator aside, Hawthorne is a master, second maybe, only to Edgar Allen Poe. I loved this reading.

A Little Known Classic, Beautifully Narrated

This was a classic story I was not familiar with. The devil entices a man on a journey. The man must determine whether the people he knows are who they seem or something different. Brilliantly narrated by the wonderful BJ Harrison.
