Acerca de esta escucha
Most people have significant God and life questions they rarely explore well. You Gotta Ask is a unique ministry tool full of compelling questions to help anyone engage others in meaningful conversations. Compelling questions hijack the brain and encourage deeper exploration of a topic.
You Gotta Ask is about creating transformation in people’s lives by steering them toward Christ. This book is a roadmap on how to make friends for eternity. It starts with a simple question you can ask anyone: Assuming there is a God, and you could ask God anything, what would you ask?

Today there are too many examples of those claiming to follow Christ being caustic, divisive, and irrational, contributing to dismissals of the Christian faith as hypocritical, self-interested, and politically co-opted. What has happened in our society? One short outrageous video, whether it is true or not, can trigger an avalanche of comments on social media. Welcome to the new age of outrage. In this groundbreaking book featuring new survey research of evangelicals and their relationship to the age of outrage, Ed Stetzer offers a constructive way forward.

We are living in angry times. No matter where we go, what we watch, or how we communicate, our culture is rife with conflict. Unfortunately, Christians appear to be caught up in the same animosity as the culture at large. We are perceived as angry, judgmental, and defensive, fighting among ourselves in various media while the world looks on. How have we failed to be a people of reconciliation and renewal in the face of such tumult?

Historia
We live in a 24/7 culture of endless productivity, workaholism, distraction, burnout, and anxiety-a way of life to which we've sadly grown accustomed. This tired system of "life" ultimately destroys our souls, our bodies, our relationships, our society, and the rest of God's creation. The whole world grows exhausted because humanity has forgotten to enter into God's rest. Combining creative storytelling, pastoral sensitivity, practical insight, and relevant academic research, Subversive Sabbath offers a unique invitation to personal Sabbath-keeping.

Christians know what Jesus Christ has done — but who is he? What is his deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? Jesus said he is "gentle and lowly in heart." This audiobook reflects on these words, opening up a neglected yet central truth about who he is for sinners and sufferers today.

Historia
If most pastors were pressed to describe an average day of ministry, they'd have trouble doing it. In a single day, a pastor may fill many different roles in quick succession, from counselor to theologian to student to CEO to custodian (well, let's hope there's usually someone else available to perform that last role). Some roles come more naturally than others, but every pastor wants to perform each role to the best of their ability.

Lowers the barriers
This book offers great support by lowering the barriers in the Christian walk. The questions that “ You Gotta Ask” are great examples of non-confrontational conversation starters that encourage me to speak with others about Jesus. It also encourages me, a senior citizen new believer, in my own relationship with Jesus by reaffirming I am hard wired to be in relation to Him.

Strong message…poor narration
I thought that John and Pam’s message was good, but the narration missed the mark.

Non intrusive ways to start conversations
We used this book in a small group setting . We discussed the assigned chapter(s) and how we applied it during the week. The book prompted amazing discussion of how people we spoke to during each week responded, as well as encouraged each other .This book really gives you very non intrusive ways to start a conversation, or just put a question in someone's head that they will likely think about. You are encouraged to just leave it at that and maybe come back later to query some more. This is what I've been looking for. So, now I Gotta Ask...I listened to this on Audible and read the book. Audible is well worth the listen, because the Authors, Jon & Pam are the readers and it gives you a bit more feeling for where they are coming from.
