Yoga Vinyasas for Improvers is made up of three progressive 26-minute flowing yoga sequences that are suitable for those looking to move on from a beginner level. Each session instructs a series of postures that are linked to the breath; the pace is then increased until the postures are performed in true vinyasa style using one breath per movement.
Each of the Yoga Vinyasas for Improver sessions will shape and tone all of the major muscle groups, reduce excess body fat and focus and clear the mind. The first session instructs postures such as downward facing dog with variations, upwards facing dog, long lunges and plank. The second session features the eight-point salutation, and the third session instructs a series of postures based on a Sivananda style sun salutation. Each session uses clear, easy to follow instructions combined with a different atmospheric background music track.
The sessions are devised and instructed by Sue Fuller and were recorded in a professional sound studio. Sue is the resident yoga expert for Natural Health Magazine, a regular columnist for the Yoga Magazine and a course author for the British School of Yoga. Sue has been teaching yoga around the world since 1995.
