Eeeee! So so good!
I don’t normally girly squeal, but eeeee!! This was so so good. I love this series but it was getting a little bit stale. It was time for a change in the storyline and boy did the author deliver! I am so impressed by the easy yet not predictable flow of this series. The life and adventures of Minnie, Eddie, and the people of Chilsen seems so natural, even with the major changes in the storyline. I am so excited for Minnie and Eddie’s new chapter. descriptive so that I know the characters.
love the lighthearted writing style and how it does not bypass descriptions so it allows you to see the story in your mind. like that the main character isn't perfect. in this particular book though the characters share the same dad but not same mom, therefore they are not stepsisters/stepbrother they are half sisters/half brother. once that is figured out some of the storyline makes more sense

Dead in the Back of a Pick Up Truck
When Eddie, Minnie's cat leaps off the bookmobile and discovers a dead body in the back of a pick up truck belonging to Leese, an attorney for the elderly in the small town Chilson, Michigan, Minnie is horrified. No way did her friend murder her own father. And the more she investigates, the more she wonders how in the world he ever got into the back of the pick up truck to begin with. After the police take Leese in for questioning in the death of her father, she begins losing the few clients she had in her new practice in town. Minnie is learning that Leese's father had many enemies, but which one of them actually killed him? This is a great installment in the series, with Minnie's Aunt Frances planning her wedding. Great resolution to the murder that was well worth the wait.
