You never know what goes on behind closed doors, even in sleepy Nogales. So why does Carmen go on the run, struggling to make a life for herself and little Mario? Maybe she'd have gotten away if she hadn't taken a million dollars with her, too.

Woman in Jeopardy is the first of the Ambulance Chaser series. It is the story of a young woman in Nogales who is trapped in a bad situation after her parents die, and her and her sister catch the eye of the local crime boss. But Carmen is a survivor, and not much can keep her down.
