Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life is a no-nonsense self-help guide for anyone who has ever been cheated on. Here's advice not based on saving your relationship after infidelity - but saving your sanity. When it comes to cheating, a lot of the attention is focused on cheaters - their unmet needs or their challenges with monogamy. But Tracy Schorn (aka Chump Lady) lampoons such blameshifting and puts the focus squarely on the cheated-upon (chumps) and their needs.

If You're In My Office, It's Already Too Late. James Sexton knows this. After dealing with over 1000 clients whose marriages have dissolved over everything from an ill-advised threesome with the nanny to the uneven division of carpool duties, he also knows all of the what- not-to-dos for couples who want to build - and consistently work to preserve - a lasting, fulfilling relationship. Described by former clients as a "courtroom gunslinger" and "the sociopath you want on your side", Sexton tells the unvarnished truth about relationships. These usually derive from dishonest communication.

When a close friend had her husband leave, I made the commitment to speak with her for 90 straight days, telling her exactly what I wished someone had told me the moment my own wife walked out. Every morning, I'd send her an email with a story from my own "hellacious" experience, giving her something inspirational to focus on and an action step to get her from heartbroken back to thriving - as fast as possible. My goal was simple - to get her just a little bit stronger each and every day, and it worked. This book is those exact letters, compiled for you, with zero punches pulled.

Historia
We hear it all the time on the news. The divorce rates are rising. More children are being raised in split homes. But you didn’t think it would happen to you. Luckily, you’re not alone. Popular divorce coach Michelle Dempsey-Multack not only survived her own divorce but figured out how to move on with her life, just like you will, too. Now happily remarried with a blended family, she’s living proof that no matter which “firsts” you might be experiencing as you end your marriage, your best days are ahead.

Sound advice!
This book was truly helpful. Abby Rodman is an intelligent, caring experienced woman who shares what she has learned about relationships from her personal experience as well as from her psychotherapy practice. I highly recommend this book.

This book was great. It helped me heal from my divorce by confirming I made the right decision and by helping me understand what happened. Thank you Abby Rodman!

Truly Inspiring
This book articulates all of the thoughts and feelings and emotions that come along with this topic so well. Reading it was truly empowering and helped me understand and feel understood. It helped me realize I am not alone on such a lonely journey through divorce and the grief that comes from being in an unhappy marriage.

Starting to move forward, 45 years later
I wish I’dI understood my emotional dependency on my family at a very early age and I wish I’d told family members to kiss off also at an early age. I ran away via marriage. Worst mistake, I knew it then and 45 years later i’m working on loving myself, forgiving myself, and making amends. I hope to learn how to dream and to dream out loud.

WOW - I'm going to listen again and again
Any additional comments?
This book was like having my own personal counselor in my ear every day, guiding me through what is proving to be the most difficult time of my life. If you're facing the possibility of divorce, or are in the midst of one, or even if you are post divorce and need some positive reinforcement, this book is for you.

Loved this book!
this book helped me quite a bit. I liked the content, and I liked the authors narration. My only complaint would be that the sound quality was awful. I wish they would re-record, or somehow digitally remaster this recording.
