Lt. Mellie Blake is looking forward to beginning her training as a flight nurse. She is not looking forward to writing a letter to a man she’s never met - even if it is anonymous and part of a morale-building program. Lt. Tom MacGilliver, an officer stationed in North Africa, welcomes the idea of an anonymous correspondence - he’s been trying to escape his infamous name for years.
As their letters crisscross the Atlantic, Tom and Mellie develop a unique friendship despite not knowing the other’s true identity. When both are transferred to Algeria, the two are poised to meet face-to-face for the first time. Will they overcome their fears and reveal who they are? Or will their future be held hostage by their pasts?
Combining a flair for romance with excellent research and attention to detail, Sarah Sundin vividly brings to life the perilous challenges of WWII aviation, nursing - and true love.

Would you listen to With Every Letter again? Why?
Yes. I experienced every emotion possible with the characters as they struggled and lived. This was one heck of a roller coaster ride that I plan to enjoy again and again. What was one of the most memorable moments of With Every Letter?
Mel's many struggles to maintain her faith in the face of major adversity.Which scene was your favorite?
The dog being a hero as he saves major deconstruction of an airfield to repair a communications cable. I have a dog just like that.Any additional comments?
I loved the interweaving of faith and happiness so lacking in stories today. I want to hear more from the author and reader.A love story even a guy cry over

Then his best friend gets attacked by the enemy and he just let's them shoot him because he's afraid to kill.
I acknowledge people like this exist, but they should be scorned for letting their men and comrades down. I have zero interest in reading the rest of this story.
The romance aspect is reasonably well executed, but it's overshadowed by the fact that I would spend the rest of the book hoping thlover. (the FMC) ditches this pathetic loser.
The MMC is a coward and a milksop

Would you listen to With Every Letter again? Why?
No, but I would definitely listen the first time. The story line & time & location were very interesting, if you enjoy historical fiction and nursing. It seemed that the author dragged out some of the situations for too long. There are times you find yourself wanting to strangle the main character because of this.
It's a good story, though. I learned how ordinary citizens were used during the war, and how air fields were built as the Army advanced. It was interesting to see how nurses were viewed during that time, and how hard it was to convince some doctors and military men of how helpful they could be.
It was a good picture of how we can incorrectly perceive situations as a child or adult, and let that color our reactions the rest of our lives. It's a good picture of how difficult it is to obediently forgive others, but how that pays off in our life and the lives of all those around us.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The dog was fun. What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?
She has a nice voice. If you could rename With Every Letter, what would you call it?
Don't Ever Give UpAny additional comments?
I'm sort of surprised an editor didn't encourage the author to condense some of the drawn-out struggles of the character, but maybe it was just me.WW1 Hist. Fiction/Flight Nurses
