Resumen del Editor

A power awakening within is tearing him apart.

All Sebastian ever wanted was a place to call home. Bound to Liam, his fated mate, and nestled in the center of a werewolf pack, he’s found one. However, opening portals filled with monsters in his sleep, Sebastian’s power is a wild thing he’s unable to control. And it’s slowly destroying him.

He never asked to be part fae, or for any of their magic. Now something dark is creeping through the pack bonds, bringing unrest and chaos. Desperate to find a safe way to release the churning well of power inside Seb, the pair venture into Underhill, the abandoned land of the fae. Only Underhill is on the verge of collapsing. It’s a race against time to harness the power of the kitsune and find a way home, or risk being devoured by a dying world.

Not as good as the first two.

There’s to much description sometimes and not enough movement in the story. It’s good, but the others were better in my opinion.

WITCHBANE

I really loved the first two books in this series. The narrationwas very good in all three books. This book didn't do it for me.

Good… But like every reviewer I have some critics

Good… But like every reviewer I have some critiques. I think the overall concept for the story was pretty good and engaging. But about 3/4 of the way in, the story really seems to lose a lot of its momentum. It’s very disjointed and like some other reviewers said there’s not really a lot of explanation as to why it happens. It kind of felt like the publishing company pushed her for a longer book so she added more stuff to pad the run time.

Even that stuff though I could get over. Know what really irritates me is that they’ve built up the story around a guy who was perfect to be his mate even though he’s just a wolf. He’s a great dad, he’s understanding, and his patience is ever present. But he’s also a great alpha who “defends whats his” except for the fact that the minute toxic people show up in their lives he rolls over and does nothing. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. A good strong father figure and partner would make sure the toxic people don’t throw their lives in the chaos.
A good strong partner with sea sub lay down serious boundaries with his mom tell him he doesn’t want her around and then just let her stay in the house with his daughter saying whatever the hell she feels like. Not once does he back up Seb. He just calmly walks him the other way like “turning the other cheek.” A good partner also wouldn’t allow a homophobic asshole to be his second and a constantly berate his partners sexuality when he knows Seb has low self-esteem. Instead he laughs it off like boys being boys in every book. I just don’t understand that it seems completely out of character. If his second, being a dick is going to play a role in the next book then there needs to be a precursor to him standing up for his mate. Because if all of a sudden the next book comes and he’s all outraged by what the guy says then there’s not gonna be any continuity. And you cant chalk it up to him “knowing Seb can take care of himself” because half of this book is Seb knowing he can’t. That’s why he has to stop running and stay with his mate.

Anyway, all I have to say is if this book series is a reflection of how the author deals with toxic people in her life she needs a therapist.

To anyone out there who needs to hear this. It doesn’t matter if they’re a parent, a best friend, or a stranger you are not obligated to keep them around. You do not owe them your emotional well-being and health. Don't let people emotionally manipulate and hurt you just because they forgot to wear a condom before you were born. Walk away you don’t need them. And yeah that’s speaking from experience.

Loved the entire series

This entire series was completely amazing, I loved exploring the world that the author had conjured up because it is so easy to get lost in. The narration was a 5 out of 5 stars. Good job!!

What was your favorite scene?
My favorite scene had to be when both Sebastian's mom and Liam's ex-wife had come to town, this is mainly because they were both absent parents and now out of the blue they want to be present during the worst time. But also because it was so hilarious to listen to it play out since there was so much drama.

A scene that made me cry?
A scene that made me cry was when Seb would be in a dream-like state and see Ari because at the time he did not know whether it was real or a dream since Ari was the child that both he and Liam had dreamt of and now Ari is real. Also when Liam had seen Seb for the first time in years since he was stuck in underhill. It had made me feel so many different emotions because you could tell that Liam was a bit insecure due to his new appearance but also happy to see the man he love with all his heart.

I personally would recommend this series, there are some steamy scenes, some emotional scenes and some major reveals that will have you at the end of your seat.

I really hope that Lissa Kasey does make another book within this series because this book did end off on a cliffhanger. I can not wait to see what else is to come within this amazing series.

Recommendations: If you enjoy this series, I recommend checking out Revelation by Nikole Knight and The Prince of Air and Darkness by M.A Grant.

Finally

Finally Lissa Kasey gives us that talent they've been hiding. Finally we see the world they crafted sluggishly. Finally we see movement. Finally we see tragedy and healing. Finally it isn't just Act 3 that is strong but every single Act. Finally the author gives us a mate bond that isn't cringey or obsessive but one of choice and desire for a true partnership. Finally the side character have meaning and depth. Finally the author shines.
More of this please. More of the strong writing, the momentum, the dialogue, the more confident internal monologue, more of the rich world and meaningful exposition that isn't clunky.
Good. Fucking. Job. Lissa. Kasey.
Keep it up! You convinced me. I am now a fan...now go, unleash Faerie Hell on the world you beautiful artist.

This book

This book is absolutely irritating. There is so much that happens with no explanation and a lot of unrelated things that have absolutely no bearing on the story. It was a huge letdown.
