Resumen del Editor

A Family. A Fortune. A Frost Fair.

When fortune smiles on her family, Elizabeth Bennet is soon thrust into London's high society. With suitors aplenty, will she win in the game of love before her oft-improper family ruins her chances?

Fitzwilliam Darcy is jaded with society and fortune-seeking maidens. When he learns that Elizabeth refused a marriage of convenience, his admiration for her grows...unfortunately, so does her fortune and her list of admirers.

Fortunes can be won - and lost - but the love of a good man endures forever, and Elizabeth is unwilling to gamble with her heart. But when love casts the dice, it's all or nothing - win, lose, or draw.

If you like falling in love with Mr. Darcy and Miss Elizabeth as they fall for each other, then you'll love this sweet romance based on Jane Austen's timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice.

Great story

I really enjoyed this story. It was witty and fun. Well written and the narrator did a great job. I highly recommend this book to a Jane Austen fan fiction lover.

Well Done

This is a new take on our favorite Jane Austen book 'Pride and Prejudice' just after the Neatherfield Ball it is found out that the Bennets have won an impressive fortune! So without further delay they leave for London to enjoy the comforts of town and the Season.

I love the way Darcy and Elizabeth's relationship progresses through the story, often times I feel like the author didn't take enough time letting Elizabeth fall in love with Darcy, but not here. The character development is just wonderful and the story was fun and new!

Will be listening to again in future!

And as always, Stevie Zimmerman was a wonderful narrator to this story.

Interesting plot, good character development...

A fun twist to a beloved classic. Loved how each character developed for the better in some way. Stevie Zimmerman does a wonderful job with narration as always. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good, clean, well rounded story.

I'm officially addicted to author and narrator!

I loved the story and I'm thoroughly convinced that Stevie Zimmerman can read the Wall Street Journal backwards and it would be worth the listen.

OK JAFF, not my favorite

I found this book good but definitely not a fav. the characters are true to form, the premise is quite fanciful, and the story itself made huge leaps that didn't quite add up ex: EB goes from thinking one thing about FWD in London and 2 days later she's convinced he thinks something else with nothing in between to make her change her mind, except she left London. It felt like it was a really quick draft story that wasn't fully flushed out. I found myself eye-rolling a bit. I love many of the other stories from this author, this is just a bit far off base for me.

Too much Mrs. Bennet

If you didn’t already detest Mrs. Bennet for her stupidity, self centered outrageous behavior this book will deliver. The only other parent worse than her is her lazy husband. He has the intellect but is too self absorbed to be bothered with the family. People like these two should not have children. What none of these books explain is do they bank on Mr. Collins taking in the whole family? There is no mention of a dowager house. Even Mr. Collins as vacuous as he is will want to take over the refuge study. In the other books he is constantly inventorying all that will be his. But I digress this is fiction but I must say my favorite jaff books are the ones where Mrs. Bennet has passed away and Lydia is MIA or not boy crazy and TSTL. In this story I don’t understand why they weren’t paying their bills before they lost their money. That is not explained. Mr. Bennet was not delinquent in his debts at Longborn so why is he suddenly a deadbeat? They had been in town several weeks already before their luck ran out. Plenty of time to have paid their bills before. No explanation for this behavior or lack of concern about bills getting paid. I won’t be buying any more books with so much departure from original personalities. Or with so much wailing from Mrs. Bennet and Lydia. Stevie Zimmerman does them a little too well. She is the best but that is hard on the ears. I can’t really recommend this one.
