I wrote this to help you and not to make you feel bad - or worse - about your music. This is your wake-up call - a musician-to-musician intervention with the goal of helping you get back on the right path. Music should be fun, and it's always fun to get better. I wrote this to help all guitarists because I know that if we don't like our sound, our abilities, or our playing, then music isn't fun at all. It's an annoying feeling.

I loved this book.it spoke volumes to me ,about how I've been practicing and what I didn't know.Get info and insight I look forward to reading more from this author how about guitar scales..no not the same old scales tell us why certain scales are used when to use them.it would be interesting to read the history behind them and know what songs use them.

good listen. short and to the point. anyone wanting to be a better player should invest in this one

Excellent basics primer and/or review

I found this book to be a wonderful back to basics review. it's the kind of stuff that those of us with a bit more experience should have discovered over time and a most excellent primer for those with a little less playing under their fingers. A guide that should probably be reviewed by all level of players every six months to a year.

Nothing very special in here but some key info

Key info in this book. A lot of fillers though; but if you can grab a pen and paper and pull out the good stuff, you will get better with what you learned.

Nothing New Constructive

Spend your time practicing, not on this book.... A lot of Blah, Blah, Blah for common sense ideas... After a couple of chapters of "run-on" ad nauseum and redundancy, I noted that the summarized idea for each was "stated" in the first few phrases... Fast Forwarded through the content in a few minutes.---Randal H.
