Bloomsbury presents Why Vote Leave written and read by Daniel Hannan.

POST-REFERENDUM EDITION OF THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER, WITH A NEW PREFACE.

MEP and award-winning political writer Daniel Hannan’s argument for a British exit during the lead up to the Brexit referendum in 2016.

Hannan demonstrates that the EU, past its sell-by date, was rendered obsolete by technological advances, shrank economically and became less relevant to British economic needs. Worse than that, he shows that the EU could not reform, could not be democratic or be divorced from its goal of political union. To stay would not mean staying the same and voting to leave – far from being the risky choice – was actually the safe one.

Finally, Hannan argues that Britain would not have to stay in the EU to remain at the heart of Europe and considers the global role a confident nation freed from EU strictures could play.

'The case against the EU should be made in positive, optimistic and internationalist terms. Daniel Hannan has done us a favour by making the democratic and economic case for independence. If you're undecided, this book might surprise you' Helena Morrissey.©2016 Head of Zeus (P)2016 Head of Zeus

Reseñas de la Crítica

Confused about the EU referendum? In the dark about which way to vote? Daniel Hannan's invaluable vade mecum will illuminate the whole question, showing why voting to leave is a leap back into the light (Boris Johnson)
This powerful, intelligent, hard-hitting, well-written and – considering the subject matter – mercifully short book is absolutely required reading for every Briton who is considering voting on 23 June, whichever side they presently think they support (Professor Andrew Roberts)
Before voting in this historic referendum you should read this brilliant book. If you've decided to vote Leave this will enthuse you, if you're not yet sure, it will convince you (Michael Gove)
A "must read" for anyone who is surprised that so many of us now want to leave the EU (Lord Owen)
I defy anyone who is undecided on the EU to read this book and not be a convinced Leaver. The case against EU membership is not Left-wing or Right-wing: it's democratic. Daniel Hannan shows how bright the UK's future will be once we leave behind the corporatist racket in Brussels (Kate Hoey)
The perfect book for someone who wants to hear a calm, clear set of reasons for leaving the EU (Baroness Jones)
When it comes to the EU Dan Hannan has forgotten more than most people ever knew. He knows it from the inside, deep inside. He knows the venality, the incompetence, the bloated budgets and salaries, the many failures cynically covered up. He knows the staggering sums dragged from the pockets of the British taxpayer and the miserable return we get from them. The Brussels-worshipping brigade would be very wise not even to try to contest the points he makes in this book. For the rest of us it's an eye-opener (Frederick Forsyth)
The case against the EU should be made in positive, optimistic and internationalist terms. Daniel Hannan has done us a favour by making the democratic and economic case for independence. If you're undecided, this book might surprise you (Helena Morrissey)
By far the best book setting out all European issues in topical form (Charles Moore, The Daily Telegraph)
The best book on the subject of the big decision Britons have to face on June 23' (5 stars)
An easy read and well argued
Switherers should read Hannan's polemic to help them make up their minds. Determined Brexiters at risk of anyone thinking their opinion matters should read it to help them next time their dinner party turns into a debate. And those planning to vote Remain? They should have it so that, if they win, they can take it down from their shelves in about ten years' time to help them figure out just what went wrong

Would you consider the audio edition of Why Vote Leave to be better than the print version?

For me it is. I prefer to listen especially when the narrator, the author, is such a great orator.

What does Daniel Hannan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm a very auditory person - I learn best from listening - and Daniel Hannan has perfect delivery of his own work.

Any additional comments?

Those who voted to Remain in the EU are now brandishing all Leave voters as the "Uneducated Masses" and "Racists" Some now even call themselves the 'illuminati' and believe that the right to vote should only be given to citizens who reach a higher level of education. (presumably only those who think as they do!) I have even been told by a few that I think I am better than everyone else, having voted to Leave, and that they are ashamed to be associated with me! . Can they not hear themselves?

If you are looking for clarity as to what the heck is going on instead of gullibly believing a very biased or ill informed press, (at least here in the USA) read this book. You will see for yourself why some very educated people also voted to Leave!!

Having read this book, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a new referendum. And I only pray that Daniel Hannan won't give up the good fight. God help us.

A MUST READ EVEN AFTER THE REFERENDUM!
