Resumen del Editor

My name is Lennox Brooks, and I'll admit I've made a lot of mistakes. I don't take the big risks, I cover my insecurities with snark, I've shown my crazy a few more times than I would've liked, and I've been trying and failing at love pretty much since I first grew tits. Weirdos, mama's boys, the over-coiffed, and underwhelming, I've been out with them all, just read my blog. I've got horror stories that would curl your toes and singe your nose hairs, but none of them compare to the toad who started it all: Ellis Walker.

He was the boy next door, the charming, infuriatingly gorgeous one who broke my heart and disappeared without a trace. Now, he's back and determined to throw my life into chaos, dredging up painful memories just when things were getting good.

But the thing is there are always two sides to every story. I've spent the better part of my life hating him for everything he put me through, but without that resentment clouding my judgment, how will I ever resist him?

Love is complicated, appearances are deceiving, and sometimes, you have to kiss a whole lot of frogs before finding your prince.

Cute and funny

A bit of a cliche start, but then the humor hooked me, especially the blog posts and the frog metaphors. There were many laugh out loud moments. The dates of the blog posts do NOT coincide with the timing of the story which confused me at first. Also, a bit too much profanity for my taste, but it was realistic and not a deal breaker for me reading the book. The narrator was mostly good, but her male character voice was annoying to listen to and all the men sounded the same which made it tricky at times. Female voices were surprisingly distinct, so brava.

This was a cute story about looking for love in all the wrong places. It stressed the valuable lesson of going for what you want and not playing the victim in life! It also stressed that celebration of someone else’s fortunes doesn’t make you any less fortunate! Samantha Harris did a great job of bringing to light the importance of love and caring for others! Heather Firth did a good job of narrating!

Friend-enemies to lovers rom com

This was such a fun friend-enemies to lovers story. I loved every second. Lennox is an independent woman who hates her job as a personal assistant but stays it in hopes to be a journalist one day, no matter how many times her boss turns down her articles. She has a blog where she keeps herself anonymous about her disaster of a dating life. Her childhood best friend turned ex friend Ellis is back in town and she is forced to see him as their families are very close. She believes his ultimate hobby is to make her life a living hell. But as events happen she starts to learn that everything she thought about him, her life, herself... isn't as she thought. She has to make some major decisions. Decisions that will affect her future and she has to take some chances, something she isn't good at. Every second of this story had me on my toes while laughing out loud. Yes I was that crazy lady with head phones on laughing. I couldn't help it. The banter between Ellis and Lennox was hysterical. And her blog posts! I am so sad that her blog isn't real. I would so be a subscriber. This narrator was the perfect voice for Lennox. She really made me believe she was telling the story to me. This is a great rom com that all romance fans will fall in love with. I know I did. And you don't get just once romance in this story. That's all I am saying. I won't spoil the fun.

Such a fun story! Great acting!

I read most of this through the audio book, and then finished reading the last few chapters (I was driving when I started!)

Both the author and narrator were new to me.

They both left me wanting to read/listen to more!

Samantha Harris has a quick witted, fun, way of writing a story. Great character development, great arc, and an overall great idea.

My only minor flip, was the blog posts. It took me several chapters to reconcile that it wasn’t running concurrently with the story itself. This didn’t take away from the story, but did leave me mildly kerfuffled for a bit.

Heather Firth did an absolutely amazing job with this book. Each character was easily discernible, consistent, and full of personality. I throughly enjoyed listening to her read this! I can’t wait to experience more of her narrations.

Almost 5 stars

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Samatha Harris. It is a shorter, fun, light read that made me laugh several times. It just flirted so close to cheating that I had to dock stars. I think some would debate with me about it, but for this sensitive to cheating reader, it affected how I felt about the heroine. The end of the book was great but ended too soon. I would have loved to see Ellis and Len interact as a couple. I wasn't ready for it to be over.

Heather Firth was an EXCELLENT narrator. She handled both female and male voices perfectly. I really enjoyed her performance. She brought this book to life. I'll be looking for more books that she's narrated.

Great Read

Whole Lotta Frogs was a good read by Samatha Harris. Lennox Brooks knows that she has made a lot of mistakes. She has been extremely unlucky with love. She writes all her dating horror stories on her blog, and it all started with Ellis Walker. He was her charming neighbor who broke her heart and then disappeared. She never got to know his side of the story. Although she is angry with him, she knows she will have a hard time resisting him. I enjoyed reading Lennox and Ellis’ story and cant wait to read more by the author.

Another chance to listen to Heather Firth

I enjoyed the book but had trouble at times with Lennox carrying on about how Ellis had treated her in school while she crushed over him. But that’s what brings the story to life, Lennox was finding herself and looking for love with her blog as her release.

I was thinking maybe she should have approached Sawyer to suggest a friendship sooner since she felt no sparks from him. But that’s what made the story interesting, Lennox finding herself. I really enjoyed the secondary love story that becomes with her two best friends and you do feel for her through the book.

I’m still impressed with Heather Firth’s narration and feel she brings stories to life.

I was provided this audiobook for my honest opinion, and it’s a cute story done by a fabulous narrator. Worth your time to get ahold of and spend the time with. 4.5 stars.

Insert clever title here

I couldn’t think of a clever title that would do justice to this book. It was great. So cute and incredibly fun. Ellis is an amazing character. I found him a little dodgy at first, the whole love triangle thing, but in retrospect I would do absolutely anything to be with the love of my life so I found it hard to judge him as the story went on. Sawyer is just perfect. Almost to perfect to be believed, but I loved him anyway. Gus and Desi’s story in the background added a nice bit of charm. The blog posts and Len’s mother had me laughing out loud. The only downside to this story was Lennox herself. Ugh! She’s childish and frustrating. I wanted to shake her silly more than once. Yet, she was also relatable. I think a lot of women have been insecure and had those completely irrational moments or reactions to trying situations. The feelings I had at the end of the book were mixed. It was a good ending, it really was, but I was left feeling that her redemption wasn’t complete. Maybe a bit rushed. The story itself was well written, engaging and smooth. I wish somethings had been given more time and more in depth explanations but hopefully we’ll get to visit these characters again. I look forward to reading more books by Samantha Harris.
Heather Firth did an amazing job with narration and I will gladly listen to her again.

Two sides to every story

Samantha Harris reminds us that every story has two sides and that holding on to a grudge without knowing the other persons side can lead to unnecessary hurt. She also eloquently demonstrates that dating his hard but finding humor in ones misadventures can go along way. As Lennox navigates the world of dating and blogs about having to date a whole lotta frogs in search of one prince - her portrayal of the online dating scene makes me grateful I've found my prince but brings back my college dating days. With humor and self deprecation, the story progresses with snip bits of her childhood growing up with the boy next door. My only qualm with the story is the perpetuation that when a boy is mean to a girl, it's because he likes her. In my opinion, this is the wrong message for young girls to be told but here's not the place for that.

Heather Firth does an excellent job narrating and has a believable male voice which isn't always the case with narrators.

I received a free audible code for this book and am providing my honest review voluntarily.
