I couldn't stop listening. not only FB history but history of time and place. essential reading.

Great Story

This book really gives you a glimpse into Lombardi's life and guiding philosophy. Highly recommend for anyone, even non-sports fans. Many great life lessons in here about excellence and dedication to one's craft.

Football History

It's an amazing account of a man's life. What the story doesn't get into in much detail is the cost of that single minded purposefulness. There is price for greatness. This is certainly a well done book that enjoyed thoroughly.

Vince Lombardi

Great book!!! Vince was far from perfect, as we all are, but he was a man that gave coaching his all to his team and players. Great men such as Coach Lombardi are few and far between. Reading this book reminds us that we are short lived and give all we can each day.

Lombardi Texbook

If there was a college class on Vince Lombardi and the Geen Bay Packers this would be the required book. Maraniss captures the essence of Lombardi, the packers and the times with nuanced details. Great book.

Perhaps My Favorite Book Ever

As a Packer fan, obviously the subject is close to my heart. Though true I believe any football fan would deeply enjoy this book. To be honest I didn’t think that a biography could be so factual and still so emotive. The content gives us a 360 degree view of the legend, but it is the level of writing that brings this piece alive. To say that it is outstandingly well written is to minimize this artful telling of Vince’s life. I hope you read it. I just finished it when I started writing this review and have already started listening to it again as I type these last few words.
