There couldn't be a better book showing the reality of Korea during the invasion of the Japanese
It was the best book I really admire it

An absolutely beautiful book in every sense-a touching, historical perspective that leaves the reader yearning for more.

i just binged this straight through

i love the historical references that give you good timelines of when evemts take place. checkpoints so you know how much time has passed and even culture benchmarks that tell of how life was and what norms were common. i will absolutely read again.

A good story about how Korea felt about the Japanese occupation before and during WWII.

Great historical fiction!

Listened to this with my 9/10 year olds on a car trip. We really enjoyed it and the history lessons. The narration was great, and the story did an excellent job explaining the history without internet searching for the backstory.
