Just what my heart needed

This book helped me process and put words to my infertility and season of waiting.

This book makes me feel like I am sitting down for coffee with a good friend! I love the imagery used to describe the stories in the Bible as well as the author sharing her personal journey. I love that she is real and relatable and gives us courage to be completely honest with God, dream, believe and wait. Thank you Elizabeth Laing Thompson...especially for making this an audiobook!! I am forever grateful!

So much better than I expected

I started this title in a moment of desperation, thinking that the Christian approach was probably going to be “too much” for me but hopeful that it would offer some guidance or perspective. Not only am I looking at my waiting season through a new lens, but I was inspired to revisit my relationship with God. I especially loved how stories from the Bible were told in ways that were entertaining and more importantly, relatable. If you’re stuck in a waiting season or maybe wondering if God remembers you exist, give it a listen.

Good for men and Women. Great Bible References. Many personal examples given that would be especially relatable for women.

Good for all to read/listen to, not written just for women so we can all gain from the Bible passages and information and truths presented. Written from the heart so so very personal circumstances given as examples which we can all understand and relate to but maybe even more so for women.

Great read for anyone seeking comfort in their times of waiting.

Excellent, motivating, life changing; written in such a personal way that I could relate to. I laughed, cried and rejoiced as Liz told her story and those of others. The Bible came to life as its characters were “ fleshed out.” Great read for anybody seeking comfort while in their waiting room.

Seriously great

have a short attention span when it comes to Christian books. Unfortunately, a lot of them bore me after a while, but THIS was something I couldn't "put down. " This was truly "a word" from God. Thank you for writing this book. It speaks to you in ways that others attempt to, but just don't quite deliver in fullness.
