Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

It is estimated that we make approximately 35,000 decisions every day. Right now, there is at least one decision we can make that will have a powerful ripple effect across all aspects of our life. But One Decision isn't about taking one overwhelming big step; it's about starting with a single, important step that we have the choice to make every day: the decision to be authentic. We are not powerless over our addictions, nor are we helpless victims of heredity, a disease, a spiritual malady, or a slew of character defects that require the intervention of a "higher power," and a lifetime of meetings to control. Studies show that 75% of all addicts recover on their own, without pills, patches, rehabs, or self-help groups. How many people do you know who successfully quit smoking “cold turkey,” without artificial aids or programs, and nicotine is one of the most addictive substances on earth.

Resumen del Editor
By the time someone decides to come along and see a therapist, they often feel like they’ve been stuck going around in circles for quite some time. This book addresses and highlights the common reasons why people seek therapy feeling stuck in their lives.
What happens more often than not is that the client kind of realizes what the particular problem is, but they just can’t seem to get to the bottom of why they keep doing the problem. For example, a client may be able to articulate that they have a fear of heights, which demonstrates an awareness of the problem, and they may also be able to explain how and when that became a problem for them. Perhaps the fear comes from a traumatic experience in the past such as a dangerous flight or even something such as a fall off a bike or swing in the past.
Yet, being able as an adult to see that problem and know that the fear is ridiculous because swings and bikes, as adults, are not so dangerous after all, they still can't seem to break through and make that connection between the unconscious fear of danger and the conscious minds awareness of the lack of danger after assessment.
If sounds like you, then have a think about this next time you want to know what to do if you’re feeling stuck in your life.
