For example, a variable annuity is a security and therefore is an investment that inherently carries risk and comes with high fees. For variable annuities, three to six percent in fees could come out of the overall account value annually versus just a zero to one percent annual fee with a fixed indexed annuity.

a good basic introduction to annuities and other
the first 30 minutes or so is extremely basic information. but for me the remainder of the book was well worth the wait because the information helped clear up things I was not familiar with.
