Resumen del Editor

What Seems to Be the Problem with Adam Kay and Mark Watson reveals the intriguing and hilarious ways the body can go wrong - and the amazing stories that unfold when the medical world tries to help....

In conversation with his (very health-anxious) friend, the comedian Mark Watson, best-selling doctor-turned-writer Adam Kay takes a scalpel to the bizarre past, often-surprising present and fantastical future of medicine.

From Leonardo da Vinci’s extraordinary experiments all the way to Adam’s own eye-watering experience on the wards, What Seems to Be the Problem is riddled with wild historical tales, contemporary anecdotes and jaw-dropping facts. A fascinating and funny trip through humanity’s often misguided attempts to make us better.

Contains strong language.

wonderful, insightful and helarious. fells more like a podcast than an actual book, but still highly recommended!

Hilarious and informative!

Highly recommend for all anatomy and physiology nerds, as well as for anyone with a body and a sense of humor. I love Adam Kay’s first book, so was delighted to see this in Audible! This was so funny, educational, and quirky, and Mark and Adam’s banter is simply delightful. There were LOL moments as well as gasps. Please make another one!! There are more body parts and systems to cheekily explore!

Meh

It was okay, but I was expecting it to be more like “This is Going to Hurt” and less like a podcast. If I had to redo it, I probably wouldn’t use one of my credits on it.

Love Adam and Mark

It was interesting, I loved hearing the history of things (like how they figured out blood pressure) and just the general info.

It feels like it was a podcast, and they put a few episodes together to create an audio book. Maybe that’s exactly what they did? Ha!

Overall it was fine, not quite as funny as Adam’s first book but still very interesting and helped me get through another work week.
