Over the 20 years of doing music full-time, I've accumulated a lot of unique experiences, my hope and desire with this book is to have a conversation with you about some of my greatest triumphs, joys and failures.

"What Happened Was..." is a compilation of true stories from my childhood, music, songs, touring and more. I've lived a charmed life! Picture you and I sitting in a room telling story after story about every aspect of my experiences. Ever wanted to know the backstory on a song? Ever wanted to know my perspective on a issue? Ever wanted to hang out with me for an hour and have me share my knowledge and wisdom I've learned from a life of music and ministry? This book is for you. Each story will come with it's own 'soundtrack to this chapter" section to help you experience exactly what I was feeling when I was going through that moment. This being my first auto-biographical book I wanted to allow fans the opportunity to leave quotes, pick questions and to have their name in the credits.

Incredible book!

I’m a huge fan of KJ-52. Not just the rapper, but the man. I first met him at a festival in Joplin, MO. He went out of his way to come over and speak to me. He said I needed a bodyguard because I was wearing an Arkansas Razorback hat in Missouri. Then, he hit the stage and I was amazed at how everyone rushed the stage to stand in front of the stage and sway to his raps.
Now, to hear his story behind the man and all he has gone through. What’s not to love? Thank you, KJ52, for all you do for the cause of Christ.

Uplifting

My son recommended this book because he listened to Kj52 in high school. it is funny and uplifting. I love how he gives all glory to God through the good and the bad.

Listened to the whole thing in one go

So I was going to listen to this while fall asleep, but just couldn’t because it was so entertaining, it’s now 1am, & I don’t regret it at all! I laughed, I was convicted, I was encouraged, I was enlightened. It was a really helpful listen from a ministry standpoint. Also having met KJ52 many years ago on a missions trip, it was great to get the backstory of his life. I loved how KJ would crack up at his own stories off script. Thoroughly enjoyable.

If a 75 year old man could get into Rap or hip-hop I would be a Kj52 fan! I am really tempted! A great presentation of a person’s need to find a place in the Kingdom and fill it! He found his and shares the defeats and triumphs along the way. Keep representing Christ and His message my man! The rest of you- read or listen to this book!
