“Welcome home. We’re alone now, no one can hear you.”

Blake Wilder has captured many dangerous criminals over the years.
When a familiar case lands on her lap, she could have never imagined the horrors that would follow.

A serial killer with a chillingly familiar pattern resurfaces, and it will take all her wit and power to ensure that the culprit never sees the light of day again.

As the case and the body count mount, it becomes apparent that he’s not just a step ahead of Blake: he’s a shadow in the darkness, a relentless tormentor who’s watching her every move.

While the killer continues to elude and taunt Blake at every turn. It seems only a matter of time before she either captures the predator or becomes prey herself.

Think you’re alone? Think again…

This book, just like the others in this series, kept me fully engaged. I really couldn’t stop listening. Will be moving on the next book in the series ASAP. narrator does an excellent job and I’m so thankful it is an actual live narrator. Thank Elle for that.

I especially liked the way the characters evolved in this one. Also appreciated the thickening plot.

since im on book 18 or something it seems the books are keeping my interest. with that said the frustrating part is the writer is trying to portray Blake as very clever with above average intelligence. I agree, however in the same breath she is such an idiot when it comes to her place at work. this is my example, she solves all her cases, doesn't like to deal with the politics of her job, that's fine, but when a reporter tells her she is going to run a story given to her by a serial killer she doesn't think she should tell her boss?? and gets upset with her boss when he confronts her. really, shes supposed to be so smart but doesn't think maybe I should give my boss a heads up to field the backlash? to me, doesn't seem bright. no matter how good she is with solving the crimes, her insubordination would have gotten her fired already. I dont understand why the writer feels she needs to portray blake as so smart but so stupid when it comes to dealing with her superiors.

good but frustrating
