Marriage is wonderful. You meet the right person that you never want to be without, and you vow to spend the rest of your life with them. It can seem like sunshine and roses, but then reality hits. You start to realize you are both different people, and as such, you may have disagreements. Maybe you both have very busy jobs that keep you apart for longer than you’d like. Suddenly you’re a few years in, and it’s like you’re married to a very different person. But are they really all that different, or has the new worn off of the relationship?

After dealing with over 1000 clients whose marriages have dissolved over everything from an ill-advised threesome with the nanny to the uneven division of carpool duties, he also knows all of the what- not-to-dos for couples who want to build - and consistently work to preserve - a lasting, fulfilling relationship. Described by former clients as a "courtroom gunslinger" and "the sociopath you want on your side", Sexton tells the unvarnished truth about relationships. Someone who’s a true narcissist - in other words, who suffers from narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) - differs in ways from just your average self-centered person. The Mayo Clinic defines NPD as “a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others”.

It's all about cheating - the biggest threat to intimacy. Typically, men are good at creating rifts in relationships but terrible at mending them, especially after they've repeatedly betrayed their partner through sexual infidelity. For the most part, cheating men are both intimacy-challenged and empathy-challenged, and, as such, they lack the skills needed to overcome the damage wrought by their infidelity. Robert Weiss has spent over 20 years in the treatment of sex and intimacy issues. He's helped both cheating men and their betrayed spouses....

Great marriages don't just happen - they're made, intentionally, day by day. Yet most of us enter the covenant of marriage thinking that the role of spouse will be easy, natural, effortless. Rarely is this true. In fact, the number one cause of divorce isn't adultery or finances or disagreements. It's apathy - a lack of intentional emotional, physical, and mental investment in the relationship.

Infidelity is a far more complex psychological matter than just someone straying because they aren’t happy in their relationship. Regardless of your gender, sexual orientation, level of commitment, or type of affair, you will need help if you want to help your partner and yourself. It’s not going to be easy, nor should it be. But for anyone who is genuinely sorry and prepared to make the effort, nothing is impossible!

Resumen del Editor
Dear Listener,
In today's life there are a few questions that I am frequently facing. I am sure most people have also been asked such queries. Among these, one of the most heartbreaking questions has got to be, "Is my boyfriend cheating on me?" As a matter of fact, I'll usually hear this question at least once a day, sometimes even more. Every situation is different; sometimes I can definitely tell if it's a yes or a no, but most answers are a lot more complicated.
Infidelity doesn't usually come out of the clear blue sky, and it's almost always easy to spot the signs and signals that something is wrong. Usually, before someone acts out to consciously violate the trust of a loving relationship, there is a period of unsettled sadness or restlessness. If you know the signs, it isn't too hard to figure out when something is wrong, even if your mate is not vocalizing his concerns.
This book has been written with love as well as with the genuine desire to help you identify signs that your partner is cheating on you. Recognizing the signs of a cheating spouse can save you a lot of heartache and in some cases even salvage your relationship, if it can be mended. It is often more distressing to wonder if your spouse is cheating than it is to find out one way or the other if he has been stepping out on you. Some relationships can survive infidelity.
However, before you can decide what to do next, it's best to figure out where you stand right now. No matter what your hunches tell you, it is always best to get hard evidence before confronting a potential cheater. Regardless of what happens, remember that we all deserve to be in healthy relationships with people who love us. You are no exception to this rule. If your man is doing you wrong, there's someone else out there who will treat you right. Trust me.
