Resumen del Editor

In this gentle, slow-burn, lesbian romance set in a small town in Canada, a grieving, over-fifty security expert finds she still has a lot of living—and loving—left to do.

Is there life after loss? Lee Glenn doesn't think so. Crushed by grief after the death of her wife, the co-owner of a private security company retreats from the world. But love doesn't give up easily.

Lee's old friend and business partner convinces her to take on what seems to be a minor, personal-protection detail job. The assignment whisks her far from home to rural Saskatchewan, where she is pulled from her darkness and pain by the fascinating characters around her.

Wrong-Way Wally is a shunned, small-town oracle, who counts as his best friend, Gaëlle, a woman who seems to have a deep personal connection to life beyond life.

Lee is shocked to find herself attracted to Gaëlle, despite the woman's exotic beliefs. But opening yourself to love also means the possibility of pain, too. Will Lee have the courage to try again after so much loss?

An uplifting, profound story of awakening.

Contains mature themes.

Excellent

This is one of the best books I have read! The love, the story, and everything in between are breathtaking. This is one story that you could read and listen more than once.

Life’s Labrynth

Gail speaks of life and living is perfect balance as I see it.The analogy of the soul in relation to toddler or university levels was great! Best read in awhile!

Mature love story with ‘spiritual’ aspect

Although I have had interesting and baffling ‘spiritual’ experiences, that aspect of the story did feel a bit preachy about a certain belief system i.e. reincarnation and karma. Nonetheless, I found the story refreshingly mature compared to much of the offerings in this genre. This is the second title I’ve listened to by this Canadian author. My favorite is still by far and away the first story of this author that I listened to on audible, “Kicker’s Journey”.

This is for readers of the series

I’m leaving a longer review than I would ordinarily because the review listed at the time of me starting this book does not, in my opinion give this story , the series or the author the respect it deserves.

If you enjoyed listening to the first two books in this series, what are you waiting for!!?? Start listening now. ;-)

To cut to the quick: 1) if you did not read/listen to Broken Faith and/or Coming Home, you may not want to start with Walking the Labyrinth. 2) if you are looking for a steamy traditional WLW book with Ice Queen or Age Gap lesbian fiction tropes, this is not the story for you.

For Fans of Lois Cloarec Hart’s work and readers of the series, Walking the Labyrinth is a gift. It offers a wonderful
Journey into the beloved character Lee Glenn.

For those interested in and/or believe in past life and soul family philosophies/religious concepts, I believe this book will speak to you and especially so if you want to read a fictional story with this perspective within a lesbian / wlw lens.

This story is very well written with thoughtful detailed dialogue and creative detailed character and plot development.

This is a fictional story about love, loss, finding space in the world, exploring new ideas NOT from a hetero normative center as is usually the case for books like this. It’s very refreshing. This story doesn’t require endless steamy sex to be interesting, it doesn’t require the description of women who don’t actually exist to help the reader escape. This is a story written for those who want to read something familiar but perhaps not quite but also feels possible. This is a story for women who want to read a beautiful slow burn story about how falling in love can be sweet, slow and unexpected and it’s an extra special gift for those of us who fell in love with the first two books.

I am super grateful Anastacia Watley continues to narrate the series. For a third time she does a FANTASTIC job.

I know the likelihood is low to none that the author will read this but just in case: THANK YOU for walking the labyrinth and for taking the leap, writing this and then sharing it.

meh

I struggled with this one. This wasn't a typical WLW romance. It read more like a lecture about our souls. There was little romance, no spice and overall kinda boring. I only finished it because of the narrator, Anastasia was AWESOME!!!
