In essence, the storm is a period where your focus becomes one-dimensional, consuming your thoughts and overwhelming your life. The truth is you do not know what to do. The darkness can take on many forms and distorts God's blessings for you by impressing your heart to insist on your way.

God's solution requires a willful surrender to his leading and a faith-filled heart. God has authority over the darkness. God has power over the storm.

My storm.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35, I found myself in a dark place. I was a busy Christian working mother with two small children. Two months after the breast cancer diagnosis, I realized that I was expecting my third child. Yes, pregnant and now having breast cancer. Confused, perplexed, and overwhelmed by God's purpose, I am at a moment when I am stunned and desperate for God's direction for my life. I began to exhale and find refuge in almighty God's shelter, and he began to mold and shaped me for his glory. God held my hands through the storm and gave me the wisdom, strength, courage, and endurance to be brave. God revealed his profound plan over days, weeks, months, and even years. Yes, years!
