Intriguing trip and deep thoughts

I loved Kaine’s honesty and can’t imagine anyone completing this trip. I live in Virginia and I learned so much about my state.

Best book I’ve listened to for a long time!

Very educational and rooted in nature with Bible teachings sprinkled throughout.
What a wonderful piece of work. I am motivated to do the AT trail and listen to this book again while doing so.

As captivating as your favorite novel

This reads like a novel. Kaine's ability to perfectly describe the beauty and history of Virginia is impressive. Even if you don't agree with his politics, you can find value in his life experiences and life lessons. I was sad for it to end. I anticipate a few rereads in the years to come.

Lessons of history and the costs of leadership

I really enjoyed learning more about wonderful outdoor adventures and beautiful areas to visit in Virginia as well as some history, and Tim and Ann’s dedication, sacrifice, and service on behalf of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

While I like the senator his reading is a bit like a drone, a little monotonous.

Tim Kaine speaks beautifully. His trip is enormously interesting. I loved hearing about his friends and family. His reflections spoke volumes to me. It is impressive that Tim undertook such an adventure and persevered! Bravo!
