ok I guess
I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator.
The story was hard for me to follow, too much going on at once without much explanation, and too much bouncing back and forth from past to present, and nix the sound effects. The narrator did a pretty good job. The production was off in places, skipping and repeating.

Great concept
The idea behind this story is great, and the author does a good job of creating a unique world with nuanced characters. My only complaint is the non-linear way in which the story is told. The narrative jumps around between characters and time periods so often that I found myself getting lost and having to restart chapters in an attempt to figure out what the heck was happening. When it all came together, I did end up loving the story, I just think it could have been told in a less confusing way.
