Came for the romance stayed for the action!

This book kept me on my toes from the beginning. Stephanie and Bennett finding each other again and both becoming who they're meant to be and to be with. I particularly loved that fact that she was able to use her abilities to truly help others who were just trying to survive.

Bennett...poor Bennett. You definitely understood why he was the way he was because of his past. It was heartbreaking when he talked about how he lost half of his family within a short period of time and how he lost them.

The chemistry and action is this book will be definitely keep you captivated.

Bennett and Stephanie

This review is for the audiobook. As a veterinarian, Stephanie has dealt with many injured animals, but she has never treated a wolf that suddenly changed into a man. That man turned out to be her high school sweetheart, Bennett. Now a whole new world is opening up to her. A world of shifters who are at war with a criminal faction among their kind. The attraction and chemistry between Bennett and Stephanie are still strong despite the years apart. This is an intense story with plenty of steam and, best of all, a fantastic happy ending. Excellent book!.

Entertaining

Meg Ripley has not disappointed me with her writing yet. This book was good as always. Creative plot, storyline, and characters make for a few hours of reading enjoyment, and this narrator is easy to listen to.

Bennett and Stephanie

Bennett and Stephanie’s story is a second chance love. Their journey of misunderstandings and past choices is sweet and romantic. It is a great addition to this series and I love the world Meg Ripley has created with these characters.

Stephanie and Bennett

The tenth story in the Marked Over Forty. Dr. Stephanie Caldwell and her daughter Annie are walking three dogs in the woods when they come across a badly hurt wolf. They take it back to their vet clinic, Annie takes the dogs home. When Stephanie does something the wolf turns into her ex high school boyfriend Bennett Westbrook. A well written story of drama, suspense, secrets, danger, villains and a second chance at a happy ending. I enjoyed listening to Elle Sonali narrate their story.

Vigilante Midlife Wolf book 10 in Shifter Nation: Marked Over Forty series by Meg Ripley is a sweet second chance romance.
Stephanie a veterinarian, rescues a wolf while on a hike who turns out to be none other than her high school sweetheart Bennett Westbrook. The story draws you in with action and intrigue and I couldn't stop reading/listening until the end. This is another great book in Ms. Ripley's arsenal of great books! Elle Sonali does a fabulous job bringing the story to life and voicing the different characters. Recommend!

Vigilante Midlife wolf

When she found the almost dead wolf in the woods she had no idea how much her life was about to change. Even though some things were familiar running from the mafia, discovering secrets the mind didn’t want to hold on to. This book is really good. I however was not a fan of the reader. But it’s still was a good listen.

Great listen!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I love that the main characters are Midlife but don't come off as stuffy and old. I also love the continued world building Meg does. I wonder if she'll do a parallel series featuring the younger Shifters that are also in the stories like Annie here. I whole heartedly recommend this if you love Shifter stories and romance books with a little bite.

Shifters, second chances, and suspense at midlife!

Meg Ripley has crafted something truly special with Vigilante Midlife Wolf. I loved that this isn’t your typical young-love paranormal romance—our heroine is 47, smart, independent, and suddenly thrown into a world she never imagined when her high school sweetheart reappears…as a wolf shifter. The reunion between Bennett and the heroine is equal parts heartfelt and thrilling, with danger, mystery, and sizzling chemistry woven throughout.

The audiobook performance makes it even better—bringing the tension, the action, and the romance vividly to life. It’s fast-paced but still rich in character depth, and I really enjoyed following two older characters navigating both rekindled love and supernatural danger. A perfect pick if you’re looking for a steamy paranormal romance with maturity, heart, and adventure.
