It takes all of Violet's and Grandma Daisy's ingenuity to keep Redding from discovering the shop's magical essence—which communicates with Violet through books.

When Redding perishes in an accident during the race, David discovers that the brake line of the private eye's bike was cut. Worse, Violet tops his list of suspects. As Emerson the tuxedo cat and resident crow Faulkner look on, Charming Books steers Violet to the works of Walt Whitman to solve the crime. But no other names ring a bell as culprits, and as David's investigation picks up speed, Violet will have to get in gear to clear her name.

Loved It

I so enjoy this series, and this book just takes it to an all new level. Violet, David, Grandma Daisy, and all the characters that populate this story make it an oh so entertaining mystery.

Wonderful continuance of the magical bookshop series. Love the ending . Great narration . Can’t wait to hear more.

Another great installment

I really enjoyed this book, as I have the others in this series. Amanda Flower's series are generally fun, light-hearted reads and this series is my favorite. I love the simple magical element and that it supports rather than becomes the plot. Clever mysteries keep you guessing and follow to a logical conclusion. Overall well written and the narration is wonderful.

This is a Great series to listen to and easy to follow the characters. I Enjoy listening to the books a lot and the characters in the stories.
