In Unseen, Molly chronicles her journey as a disabled woman, entrepreneur, and entertainer, illuminating what her experiences have taught her and what she hopes others can learn from her hardship and successes. Part memoir, part rallying cry for a more compassionate and empathetic world, Unseen recounts Molly’s life and experiences fighting against the expectations society set for her and, in doing so, helps listeners find their own voice, inner strength, and self-acceptance.

Molly has educated the world so much on disability and has completely changed the way I view disability. The social model of disability needs to be our new normal! Everyone needs to hear her speak. 10/10 as with everything she does!

Amazing Story Beautifully Told!

Mastered authenticity

Molly Burke has truly mastered, sharing her authentic experience as a visually impaired and blind person, touching on so many points that those of us in the blind and visually impaired community experience on a regular basis. She courageously shares even some of the most humbling and hurtful moments, allowing readers to experience her reality, but also to be able to own their own. Through her example of determination and advocacy she helps others to realize that they can and should be seen. I will definitely share this book with my girls when they are old enough. Highly recommended.

I Don't Want to Be Cured

First, the cover is so absolutely stunningly beautiful and I can't wait to see it in real life. Molly's performance in reading her book is iconic, full of personality and it felt like a whole 6 hour YouTube video which was amazing. I felt immersed in the story and she did amazing. Spoiler, she does not talk about Bennix in the book which was some tea I was really hoping she'd spill.

I’ve been following Molly on YouTube since 2018, and I’ve been part of her Patreon since April (I am CAREBEAR from Patreon! 🥰), so when Unseen was announced, I was beyond excited. I’ve literally been counting down the days for this release—and when it finally arrived, I had to stop myself from flying through it in one sitting. I forced myself to slow down and really savor every bit of it, and honestly I’m so glad I did.

I did an immersive read (reading the physical copy while listening to the audiobook)—and wow. Just wow. Molly absolutely nailed the narration. She’s such a natural behind the mic, and hearing the story in her own voice made it feel even more personal and authentic, like she was sitting right there in the room telling me her story. It added this beautiful layer of connection that made the whole experience unforgettable.

I also listened to Molly’s previous book “It’s Not What It Looks Like” and thoroughly enjoyed it as well!

Molly, if you’re reading this—you need to consider doing more audiobook narrations because you were phenomenal. The emotion came through so clearly, and it felt real in a way that only you could deliver. Unseen was everything I hoped for and more—raw, inspiring, emotional, and so perfectly “Molly.” Absolute perfection, and I can’t wait for the next! 🩷

P.S. I also loved the chapter names, and the fact that she created a playlist where each chapter had its own theme song!

Molly Explains It All

I am a longtime fan of Molly’s. I teach kids that are visually impaired and like to share some of Molly’s videos with them. I appreciated her story and could hear the voices of some of my students in her story. I appreciate Molly’s drive to make the world more accessible.,

Every person should read this

First, Molly does an awesome job narrating the book. I love when an author is able to read their own work. Additionally— it is a book about empowerment. I love how Molly shares her story, in all its raw and beautiful form. She puts into words what I’ve been trying to say for years. Individuals with disabilities are not a group to pity. It’s the one minority population that anyone can be a part of, and there isn’t a whole lot that they can’t do if given the opportunity in a world that is made accessible.

If this is read by the author, I’d love to see some pictures of Gypsy— her first guide dog she describes so beautifully.

This is a book I’m having all my kids read. I loved it.

A Must Listen!

This book is so informative. I enjoyed learning about the disabled community, how someone such as Molly has had to adjust to living as a blind person, and how the world could better change to help all disabled people. Molly is a great story teller and I’ve become such a big fan! Excellent work!
